Not today, but yesterday. I checked and adjusted the valve clearance on the Volusia. And I checked the valve clearance on the SV1000S as well. Then I replaced the SV fork springs with nice linear Racetech .90 coils. First time I've bothered to do any of these jobs but they take less effort than I guessed. Just take your time.

Headlight was out so while replacing I finally got around to installing the Flash to Pass unit....now I can open my garage door by flashing my lights. Also got out to check my recently installed rear shock ( got revalved and new spring over the winter ) Felt good on River Road but I was taking it easy.
I swapped out my front sprocket from 17 to 15 yesterday, much better low end acceleration now and she still tops out around the same speed, although the RPMs are significantly higher!
Got out to the parking and 10 mins later doing a wheelie hit the rear brake too hard came down and dropped on the right side. Broke the bracket and no more rear brake, so a short session..
After much research, lurking in forums and measuring to the millimetre, I ordered a whole bunch of stuff to retrofit my seven fiddy with dual-bixenons.
lets see, over the last week staring on last sunday, i pulled her apart
ran the rear leds under the tail
my buddy helped wire them into the brake light
flushed the coolant until the water came out clean, added half a bottle of flush to the first round of water
removed my old dark green rim tape and put on something more colour match to the bike
replaced the clutch cable which seems to have been why the bike kept shifting into neutral no matter what i did. even at high rpm. but now shes as smooth as butter
- motion pro cable
removed my ****** ebay tank grips so i can order tech specs and put those on
and on my way home tonight the mrs. got a nice shot. still thinking to add 1 more light to the bottom for right below the bike just not sure how im going to do it. dont want it on the underside as i dont think it will stay over time with dirt and inside the cover might be too close to the engine and headers. need to see what i figure out but its all on a hidden switch so until they are on you wouldnt even know. all wired with quick disconnectors as well so its easy to take the fairings off
Next project, Lumens HIDS, thinking 5000K any suggestions?
I have a brand new set of H7 / H9 HIDs at 6000K that I'm not gonna use anymore. These come with ballasts, igniters, bulbs and connectors. Plug-n-play!
(Not to be confused with the stuff I posted right before your posting, this is a different set of HIDs)
