Practice

If I was to use chalk and cones to set up some practice drills, any suggestions on layout and size? For example, what radius for turns? Cone separation for serpentine, quick stop distance between breaks and full stop. etc..... Any suggestions? I have taken a course years back, but want to mimick the lines for extra practice. Thanks for the input!

Cones could be a bad idea...

Seriously, though. Download "Ride like a Pro", Jerry Palladino goes though how to set-up all the drills that motorcycle cops use during training.

Good Luck!

Start wide and slow. As you progress shorten them up. See how tight you can get get your turns.

I took the course at Hershey's Centre and the lines are permanent there i think. might be easier to just go there and use those

I'd be down to meet up at the Hershey Centre for some practice if anybody's interested. It's been a good year since I've put in some serious practice time.

I like to go to the place where I took the motorcycle course, they have stuff permanently on the pavement and on weekends there are no cars parked there. Otherwise sometimes I'll go to an empty/rarely used parking lot and practice braking by seeing how many parking spots it takes to stop. Watch out for crap on the ground first though.
