I get it, you're excited to ride but...

All this km debate is just a pissing contest. I don't ride over 10,000km a year cuz I try to have a life outside bikes. And I'll go out when I feel like.

You're doing it wrong, you get to multiple your average yearly km x your posts here per year :lmao:

I get what you're saying, its just as silly as the i saw you thread

Enjoy your 2 months season.

gtam sucks the life out of motorcycling more than the insurance premiums.

GTAM, like everything else in life is what you make it. If you're a negative person then gtam is a negative place. If you enjoy life and are a laid back person you'll enjoy your stay here..

BTW salt trucks were out on the highways tonight :lmao:
Good luck to all you "REAL" riders out there who are already riding

Max Power...isn't that the name Homer Simpson used for himself once? LoL

Anyway on to your point, yes it is hard to resist the temptation but so what? I got the bike out already, all you need to do is slow it down and ride ACCORDING TO THE CONDITIONS!

There will always be a Fallen Rider thread, and they won't stop until the end of the season.

Personally I don't think it's too early to ride. I'm riding already, and I see a ton of bikes. Unfortunately stupidity and not riding appropriately are the main issues. Cold tires or not, many riders here can go through very low temps of riding while still being safe. Is it the conditions that are the issue...or is it the rider that doesn't know how to ride in these conditions?

Not to mention all the young punks with their four banger cages are starting to race around like they're auditioning for f&f8. They have little experience and the roads are still sandy. I've seen many up here in Peterborough gassing it off the line or out of a corner and slide some. They're not even considering that there are other cars on the road, never mind bikes.

Just because you chose to keep your bike stored, who gives you the right to come in here and make a thread lecturing people?

Advice is welcome but the holier than thou attitude is not needed.

It is a great time of the year to ride as most of us do, since when this community has turned into a bunch of drama queens

the handful of guys that crashed...

as if it doesn't happen during the prime months and in perfect conditions.

"Nobody snuggles with Max Power. You strap yourself in and feel the Gs!"

Bikes will always be falling over. That's why we ride them, right?

some people sit around and create drama online, some are out riding already...

also, if no one ever goes out because cars aren't used to bikes being out, how do they ever get used to us?

This was Concession 9 just north of Oshawa on Sunday afternoon.

The corners are jammed full of sand and run off, and you have to pick your line on the straights because of it.

The advice to use caution is spot on, as well as being very visible to limit your risk.

Remember, it's still freezing temperatures overnight, so that puddle may be frozen before the sun is out to melt it.

Not to mention it's several degrees colder the further north you ride, and once the sun is down, you can expect it to get bitterly cold quickly.

That being said, I'm out and about and enjoying the spring weather.

Have fun, be safe.

anyone got more details regarding how the crash happened? the one today near avenue and 401.

Saw that cash yesterday. Saw a red & white bike on its sides. Held up traffic a bit

What if he's a priest?

Take your time, be aware of the road conditions and ride accordingly and then enjoy the ride. This should be done every day, no matter if it is July or December. Being cautious and defensive when riding is a must year round.
