BTW, I did speak with AppleCare to see if they had heard similar reports and if they could recommend anything. From my conversation it became clear that Apple has not been getting many such calls, so I figured it more likely to be a handware problem or my registration procedure.

I know three people who had this "issue" Once they payed attention and redid the process as suggested there hasn't been one instance of it returning. Apple hadn't heard of many complaints or so we were told at the apple store. A few instances wouldn't be a shock. It's not like it's a world wide issue that everyone is having.

That said being an apple guy for years, the 5s isn't doing it for me. Anyone here have the galaxy 4s? How about the mini version? I know it's got a slightly lesser processor and camera etc. neither of which I think I would have an issue with. I'm considering one but don't know anyone without an iphone. Any reviews or opinions would be great. I've considered the note 3 but I find it's just too big for what I want, especially having a tab 3 tablet already.

The current hype seems for Android phones seems to be for the Nexus 5: http://www.google.com/nexus (it's relatively inexpensive too). The S4 is a nice device, but it's about half a year after launch, so we're going to start seeing Galaxy S5 rumours pretty soon, which would bother me.

For me, I think ios7 is really cool looking. I've been using it on an iPad and was using it on a work iPhone 5 for a while, and had no problems. Not everyone loves it, but I like the direction they took with it.

I haven't decided what I'm replacing my BB Z30 with yet...it's probably going to be an iPhone 5s or Nexus 5. I got my GF a 5s, and she loves it so far.

Yeah that's my hangup I know the s5 should be around march which will annoy me to no end.

I'm on ios 5 on my phone and refuse to upgrade but now I'm seeing a lot of apps that are making it so you have to have 6 or higher. I don't care for 7 at all and the "upgrades" for the 5s are disappointing to say the least .
