40 and starting all over again!

Hi guys i'm having a hell of a time with finding insurance, unfortunately and regrettably I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life, I had let my full G and M licenses expire about 10 years ago because I was living and working in the city and wasn't driving very often, before that time I had numerous cars and bikes and drove for years.

So now I had to go get my M1 and G1 all over again and have to serve the mandatory wait times for my G, this is so frustrating because I would like to insure my 2002 CBR 600 F4i, but everyone is saying I need to hold a full G license along with my M1, with wait times its going to take 22 months for the G! so it looks like im stuck staring at the calendar for 2 years till I can get insured! if anyone knows who might insure me at any cost please speak up!!! I cant wait 2 years!!!

Welcome to the forums. There's an insurance thread here at GTAM, there may be some information there regarding finding insurance.
 
Isn't there an exemption where if you let your full license expire, you don't have to wait the mandatory wait times?

if its expired 10+ years the times are imposed.. and mine was 10 years 3 months... i begged and pleaded but it fell on deaf ears.
