Black Triumph hit a silver sedan while he(rider) was crossing a green light.
From what i gathered, the car was making a left, half way through, she(cager) saw a few pedestrians crossing so she stopped half way in the middle of the intersection and the biker hit the front of the car.
I got there later but apparently the he was unconscious for a bit, got up and started walking but fell down again before the ambulance took him away. The car looked more damaged than the bike. In fact the bike looked pretty solid!
Hope he recovers soon
 
close to home for me and I crashed there myself my first season, hope he's ok.

The problem is these dumb**** drivers don't look through their turns they just look straight ahead, thinking they can stop in the middle of an intersection and have people go around them...wtf?? If they looked through the turns and paid attention they'd notice pedestrians before making the turn.

I hope the driver gets raped. I've seen this idiocy too often these days, why the **** don't people look before they turn.
 
A very similar situation happened to me a few weeks ago. I was riding North on University and at an intersection (not sure which one), i was going through a green light when a black porches SUV made a left turn. He noticed me halfway through and hit the brakes like a frozen idiot. Had he just driven through, he wouldve missed me bbut he had to jam the brakes! I hit the brakes but started sliding towards him. I wouldnve hit him for sure so luckily i let go of the brakes and swerved around him. It was so close that my handlebar end(the metal part) scraped the front of his car(best part of my night!). Nothing happened to me or the bike. Thankfully i wasnt going fast since it was friday night and a decent amount of traffic otherwise who knows
There are too many dumbass drivers out there to trust a green light.
 
hope the rider is ok, I go through that intersection every morning to work!
 
I hate these threads, they always assume the car driver is at fault. Pedestrians can behave erratically at lights.
 
Hate to say this but even though it's usually the driver's fault during left turn collisions, it's within the ability of the rider to prevent the accident most of the time.

Well i have legal HIDs that are on most cars out of the factory and if he cant see because of them, he shouldnt be behind a car and his eye clearly have issue. Or maybe we should all change our lights for this one woman? What kind of an argument is that. Some people will go to any kind of an unreasonable extent to defend the driver at any cost. Its smiple. I have the geen light, i have the right of the way and i have legal standard HIDs.
P.S if youre blinded by HIDs, you still know there is a vehicle coming to cross the intersection with lights since youre apparently blinded, so stop and dont make a left turn. Its not your right of the way.
But please let us all hear your next completely logical argument lol

And upon further reading down the thread I find oem Hids are just as bad. If the vehicle goes over a bump it's instant blindness.

I tinted my windows for this very reason. I have extremely light sensitive eyes and these lights in my eyes actually feels like they are being removed with a melon baller. Too bad we can't tint the windshield.
