SL63 AMG vs R1 video

Can't go wrong with an AMG...even though here they come limited at 249 km/h.
 
well obviously this one was unrestricted but most buyers probably aren't going to bother with getting that done...

the torque and sound is what these cars are all about.
 
just about everyone I know from the Canadian AMG owner's group has them unrestricted, either via factory or aftermarket means.

Any idea if its hard to do, because even 350s and 550s are limited to 210 and that sucks...The last 4-5 years they went all electronic and computers so you probably require proper software and equipment. Also the forum members are the enthusiasts, I still don't think they represent the general public. More than half those old dudes you see driving these cars would probably have heart attacks over 250...

Those old dudes got wealthy by being smart, and not doing retarded things like running over 250 on a public road. Doesn't matter how much money you have, above 150, the car is gone, your licence is toast.

I had a few items from Renntech on my C63, it was just over 500hp at the wheels when complete, these cars really don't need more power, the biggest gains were in handling items, The KW adjustable coil over setup, adjustable camber bushings and a few other chassis tweaks made a MASSIVE difference on the racetrack. then I threw more power at it and it all went out the window
 
Look at the price of those SL's... god one of them is almost 3x the price of my new F350 diesel
