Motogp 2013

Really like Rossi's 2013 Misano lid:

In memory of Marco using Pink Floyd.

No doubt he is a very talented rider.
MM strikes me as someone that will be involved in something tragic sooner or later.
Perhaps he will calm down a bit as he gets older but for now he just seems to have this aura of nothing can happen to me and gravity does not apply to me. There is a certain recklessness about him that leaves me saying this is not going to end well for this guy or worse someone else. I hope I am wrong of course.

You can't exactly cruise at the top level and expect to finish first.

Decent race when battle for Pos. 2 was happening and the charge prior, other than that not very exciting IMO. One penalty at the start, rider did good job to come back.

Pos.1 rider definitely came to win today,
Pos. 2 rider is a maniac on that bike and Pos.3 rider tried to fight but didn't have it in the end.

It's funny because at the beginning of the season MM would have rammed in the back of anyone in order to win, but now you can see he is thinking on the championship and being very careful and smart with his riding. I still think POS 2 would have caught up to POS 1 if he hadn't had the small issue with POS 3, POS 3 is always on his way with different brake points and less corner speed, not sure how those 2 haven't crashed yet.

I must agree that this was one of the least exciting races this year.

but the Moto2 races continue to be the best....for me anyways. Nakagami will win one sooner or later.

Still gotta watch that one and Moto3.

Glad that it was a good one :)

yup, even when MM and DP were battling for 2nd, it seemed anticlimactic. It was inevitable it was going to happen. I wonder how Rossi feels when he's in 4th with no one in front of him and no one behind him. It has happened a lot this season.

It's as if he's half an alien.

Sure, but I quite enjoy watching Lorenzo run with it. I should, enjoy THAT he runs with it - you don't get much of his footage when's riding on his own :P

Otherwise, yeah, a pretty stale race.

Saving Moto2/3 for the off season. Need something to watch in the winter.

Lorenzo ran a great race. Some riders have cracked under the pressure this season, but Lorenzo is only getting better. Pedrosa and Rossi really had nothing for Marquez. I was hoping Rossi could keep him at bay for a few laps, but he caught up and passed immediately. That was disappointing. Pedrosa looked like he might be able to hold him off, but Marquez just broke him. It's sad to watch at this point.
Moto2 was interesting. Nakagami keeps running out of tire. Espargaro was killing it. I don't like the guy much, but I love his riding style. Nakagami next year is going to be pretty serious. I'm surprised MarcVDS hasn't picked him up.

In other news - Hayden to Aspar, maybe Eugene Laverty (rumored). Aleix Espargaro and Edwards are running at Forward Racing next year. I'm honestly surprised that Espargaro wanted out of Aspar so much. Yamaha isn't going to want to support 2 Espargaros on their bikes, I'd think.

i just dont see Espargaro getting out of his contract. Aspar wants 600K for his release.

Hayden to Aspar???? Hmmmm interesting. Glad Edwards is staying at NGM Forward.

Just saw that now. That whole deal surprises me.

Espargaro probably sees it as a stepping stone to a better Yamaha ride. As for Hayden replacing him, I think he's hoping that Aprilia really steps up. They've already announced significant upgrades for next year and Hayden will have a contract with the factory and not Aspar. If it happens, I'm glad that Hayden went for the ride instead of chasing the cash like Crutchlow did. If Hayden accepted Ducati's wsbk offer he would have been making moto gp money and would have been the highest paid rider in wsbk by far.

Why would they invest in the company and then give the product away? lmao
Give it away? When I see my cable bill every month it's not free. I would pay for live bike racing gladly, but it's not even an option.
And what they are investing is our money , the taxpayer, but we are stuck with garbage tv on the CBC, another taxpayer funded waste. Maybe they can get together and provide the product "WE" have invested in.
