Link>? I cant find it

Not sure if it is just this one video but storyteller REFUSES to export it. No matter how much I cut it down it absolutely refuses to do it, always throws an error.

Never used Storyteller myself, I just dumped the video right to youtube and used their new video editor to trim it up, worked sweet. If I needed to work with the audio I just copied the video from the SD card into Adobe Primere then trimmed it, used Adobe Audition to fix up the audio, export to youtube, done.

I wanted to use the GPS overlay since i got the +2, here is the video it refused to upload (without gps overlay):

You do realize you can turn the lens, right? Just have the 0 facing straight up.

^^ this. lol.

Silverbullet132 where was the camera mounted and what mount? Picture quality is good. Only thing I hate about the video is the obstruction on the right side, it looks like your windscreen.

Not silverbullet here, but I am finding that with the way this camera lens is, it is very hard to position it but not have part of the bike in view.

I had it installed on the stem of my mirror -- no good. It included my windshield and my speedometer.

I now have it installed on a custom mount basically right under my turn signal, and even that far forward it still catches the edge of my front fender.

It may be possible to get an unobstructed view if I mounted it on the front fender, but I don't really trust it there and there might be too bumpy. I can't think of anywhere else I could mount this with a clear view... shy of a very long ram mount from the engine guard.

and the learning curve wit my contour +2 continues...
so i plugged it in and the light wet green (using a usb charger for my phone,) left it on for about 8 hrs while at work today. came home still green good right? nope..
linked it to my phone and battery showed red on the light and phone showed 1/3 power.
closed the battery cover door and plugged the usb in through the rubber plug and now its got a red battery light on as if its charging.. i assume it is charging (also discovered my laptop has a always charge usb port so im using that now)

is there a magnetic sensor in the door to make it know when the door is open or closed?

edit - nevermind.. it was the battery contacts, they wernt touching the battery enough unless the door was closed, i fixed it.

It was mounted on my mirror stem using the flex strap mount.

Ps: near the end of the vid you can see an SUV flipped over on its side if you look under the transport.

did you ever sort out the file issue? ive got one file that i cant get to upload to the contour site. i can take the file and put it on youtube just by uploading right from my PC but the vid quality is horribly degraded.
were you shooting in 1080? yours seems much clearer than mine, i used 720 all factory settings.

im going to try one in 1080 tomorrow

Shot in 720p60fps, that vid was exported from storyteller and uploaded to youtube outside the application. Any time I tried to upload it from within storyteller it REFUSED to do it, would upload then spit out an error every single time.

i uploaded a video to youtube right from my pc... do you mean its better to export it into a file on my pc then upload it from the youtube site?

btw - if you want spare battery Nokia has been using the same battery, its just a BL-5C, ebay has them for cheap....you may even have one in a old cellphone kicking around

I ordered mine last Tuesday and it's still processing. How long did it take for others to ship?

It was imported to storyteller, then exported to my desktop.

the storyteller saves them in myvideos/contour (or something like that) and i noticed the file is just a .MOV which is the same as if its exported...which is more like copy paste of the file.

Did my first test ride today and the view was actually quite good. Unfortunately putting it on a RAM mount behind the windscreen is useless for me. I can see the reflection off the speedo/tach and at night all I can see is speedo and tach and lights off the different cars. Also the dirty windscreen is horrid! Also the video was all upside down even though the lens was at 0deg which to me should've been right side up.

def need to find a good mounting place on the bike or possibly helmet. I'd prefer bike (mirror stalk for example) or top of helmet to get full view and not just one side of my head.
