At that price I'm willing to give it a shot. Been looking for a cheap waterproof option to slap on the bike.

Yup I read that above in the thread. Another issue is what would be the best place to mount it. I wouldn't want it behind the windscreen because if it's dirty then the video sucks. The helmet...not convinced I want it there all the time. I guess it's all about trial and error to see what works best. Where do you guys put up the mounts for best view?
I'll be putting it on the gas tank. Apparently putting it on the helmet is illegal. Also having it behind the screen will help with the wind noise.

Even when my windshield is dirty I don't usually have an issue with it looking bad, maybe just a hair more sun glare off it. I use it on a tank mount from KapscoMoto: https://www.kapscomoto.com/SearchRe...rch=Y&Search=tank+mount&Submit.x=0&Submit.y=0
Thanks! I have the RAM mounting for a standard camera so that should work as well as the Contour Roam 2 has thread where it will screw onto the mount. When I tried a standard camera through the windshield (2 because I have a touring one as well) the pic was garbage because it was filthy from a 3 day trip. Hopefully this is better, or I need to find somewhere to mount without any obstruction.

I just bought one too.
I just returned from a trip to Mount Washington and I used a Toshiba Camileo Clip mounted to my mirror stem to make time lapse videos. While it worked okay, I found it to be a bit of a pain in that I had to re-setup the recording settings every time I powered it off/on again. I am hoping with this roam 2 I can just adjust the settings and leave it like that.
I also had problems with charging while recording with the Clip. Can the Roam 2 record while charging?

They make a clamp type mount you can mount to your mirror stem, and with the Roam's rotateable lens, it works sweeet (for unobstructed front view). Remember that once not behind the windshield all it takes is 1 bug to ruin the rest of your video

Oh lol Im not new to the helmet cam, have had Countour since first versions. Have the 1080p now. Was just stating a point some might have overlooked
