Oh wait.... by ten pm it should be at least 5 pages of "my e penis is bigger than yours" that's why I said earlier you won't get a discussion about it.
Mine's the biggest.
End discussion.

It was done in order to start a discussion, which evidently, not many people here are capable of doing. And if you think that my OP is lambasting others then you should probably not be on the internet.
Your post implied that "anyone who goes on a spirited ride has something to prove". That, imo is just an invitation for dick-swinging, especially on here. I may have been wrong given how the first 2 pages have gone but give it time.
Seriously. What the hell is the point of these types of rides? Let's go to some back country roads and go at least double the speed limit? For what? What are you trying to prove?
Sure you did. With a lot of rhetorical questions as a lead in and then a bunch of hypothetical situations that could result.
Oh ok I was starting to worry I was getting too e-sensitive, lol

I wish I didn't have to rely on the GPS, but I'm pretty lost without it. Been driving around with map books since I was a teenager.Good post mike, but screw the GPS. If you've managed to get thru life thus far you should be able to get home. enjoy your ride

I won't say publicly here because that may give it away. But let's say... It was a ridiculous and I left like halfway through. By ridiculous, I mean extremely. At times people in the group had told me they were going triple the speed limit.
The best thing in a situation like that is to simply LEAVE, which it sounds like you did.
It would be courteous to advise someone in the ride that you are doing so, so that they don't spend time looking for you. But if it is readily apparent that other ride participants are riding in a completely irresponsible manner with no consideration for others ... or you can't even catch up to tell someone that you are leaving ... just leave.

on ramps don't have speed limits!![]()
I wasn't there, but I know the ride that the OP was on.
Very fast guys at the front, with years of experience, on roads that they know like the back of their hand.
Lots of 600cc and above SS bikes scheduled to go that day. Usually that route is know for spirited rides.
The rule usually is "ride your own ride" and the lead pack will wait for the back of the group at certain spots. If the OP wasn't comfortable with the ride then he did the best thing by leaving.
My suggestion would be for the OP to ride with a smaller group (3-4 bikes) with people with the same skill level. Much more enjoyable.
