So I got rear ended on the 401/400 south ramp :(

Damn tire has less than 1K on it, chewed up around the right side.

It happened on the exit ramp that exits the 401, which turns into the 400 south.

So the cars infront of me started to slow down abit, I always keep a safe distance in front of me just in case of a sudden stop, then I checked my mirror and I see her tailing me hard so I turned around for a split second and she gives the a hand gesture to more forward / speed up just a tad bit to make her happy... still following close, I looked down at speed then she hit me. The bike sort of fished tailed a bit and it pushed me towards the left of the guard rail, while I was recovering from it she chooses to pass me on the ramp while I'm trying to get the bike straightened out.

Then she made her way to the Jane St. exit. I was heading there since I work on Jane St. anyways. So I pull up beside her and said you hit me, pull over, its now considered a collision... she says "you were going too slow" at this point the light turned green. I moved a bit forward to check the damage and plate number of her car... if you were to take her plate and fit it against the tire it would be a perfect match. When she started to drive off her front tire ran over my foot and swiped my mirror, then she got on the 400 north ramp, I did follow her for a bit so I could memorize the plate number... I looked at the time and I was late for work so then I just left it.

I filled out the collision report & failure to remain at the scene after collision form. I'm about to call my insurance to give them the report, and my foot feels more ****ed then yesterday, can't really move my toes

I'm also heading to the doctor now lol

Any advice or input? It would be greatly appreciated.

Btw it was an asian lady, newer gen Grey Mazda3 plate *BDWE 426* with baby on board stickers on her rear window.

Failure to remain and causing bodily injury. Call the cops, go though insurance, go to a doctor and settle out of court. You can get a decent settlement, I'd go for at least $5000. You don't even need a lawyer.

Fail to remain + you have the plate number and can identify the driver. Make sure the cops throw the book at her. Someone who acts like that has no business being on the road.

Your story made me rage a bit. Please do yourself and all of us justice by ****ing her over as hard as you can.

EDIT: And let us know how much she pays >=( Too many get away with this ****, I am so glad that you got her info and stuff.

What RetroGrouch said, call the cops. Get this done properly and let nothing slide...people like that dont deserve a ****ing license. I get tail-gated wayy too often, and seeing an outcome like this really bothers me, i got hit from behind downtown but nothing major, we need to stop idiots like these from being on our ***.

Woooo hooooo!!!

Sorry to hear.
Can't wait to find out what the outcome is.

Fu(|<|ng drivers!!

Call the cops immediately and report this as a hit/run + failure to remain incident. People need to learn the hard way sometimes that they can't do whatever the **** they want.

You're a better man than me - because I would have flipped my ****, caught up to her and made sure the cops were called on her there and then.

Don't let this go

Plus - there's a website that you can report license plates on - definitely do that as well.. not sure what it's called.. perhaps someone can reply with it.

My sympathy. I tend to have a GoPro mounted facing the rear in case of stuff like this. I even have it on my bicycle when I ride...

Person bumps you once, justifies it and then does it again? This isn't a bad driver, it's a psychopath

One of the reasons we have gun laws.

Glad you got a plate #. Hope the foot heals fast. Feet are complex little things with more bones and ligaments than you can count.

Is Hit and Run a criminal charge? Hope so.

This happened to my on Sunday morning, Right when I got I called the police gave them all her info and gave me an event number for my insurance company. Then right after work is when I headed to the collision centre which was around 10 PM, and when they ran the plate it said she never came by to report it.

This. She justified hitting you because you were going to slow? Maybe she regularly bumps other cars to get them to speed up, but bumping a bikes back tire is WAY different!

I'm glad you are still alive, and the bike and yourself are mostly OK. Call the police, assault with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident, throw the book at her.

Talk to your insurance company and file a claim ASAP. They will help you negotiate a settlement. If in a few weeks you are confident your foot isn't permanently damaged, you can demand a one time payment for all your damages and all the time you spent dealing with the incident. Most drivers are insured for up to 1mil, even $10k is a drop in the bucket.

Glad you're ok. Keep us posted. I find people tailgating me on my local street when I'm going 40 in a 40 zone. God damn cagers.

Wha??????

Its a common misconception that good, law abiding citizens would use a firearm to hurt someone if it was available to them.

As i read this story i can't believe people like that woman exist in this world, and hope the book gets thrown at her. However i know that she'll just deny everything and the cops will have a hard time charging her and making it stick.

She won't voluntarily report it - she's at fault.

YOU have to report it to cover your *** then they will run her plates, get her info, her insurance company will call her *** in.

Dude - make sure you do what's been suggested and go to the cops on this. It was dangerous and does NOT deserve leniency for all our sakes.
