Why I Effing *Loathe* Riding In Ontario

No build up with the wax ? would have thought it might cause some distortion.
I generally prefer visor up with sunglasses or safety glasses ( at night ) and then visor down only with rain or serious bugs.
But then my screen is variable height so more control of what hits.
Got a couple good whacks from bigger bugs nailing my cheeks - but not wild about the little bit of distortion from the shield.

Man, reminds me of how one time I got a bee stuck in my helmet and he stung me in the temple as he died.

The first time to be stung by a bee is not while doing 90 on some marginal side road. On the plus side, I found out that I'm not allergic to bee stings.

I'm in PA right now ripping the twisties. The roads here are amazing, non-stop turns, switchbacks, you name it. Did about 600 kms today and another 600 tomorrow the back to To :)

I didn't realize that all of the best road that Ontario could be reached from Toronto in two hours or less ;) It's definitely you. Time for an attitude adjustment.

Go farther south, it gets way better.

Regarding bugs, nothing, and I mean nothing, will ever beat Louisiana. It was non-stop bugsplattering for many hours, and it's not just one or two per minute or whatever manageable amount one can imagine, but at least 20-50 per minute for the whole duration. Both of my gloves were literally soaked from wiping bug guts off my visor riding into New Orleans from Texas. Even reading that description to you now doesn't do it justice.

What road(s) in PA would be comparable to the Dragon? I'm so F'n bored with Ontario roads!

what "best roads"?? .....like 507??...it is a total yawn compared to PA and there is one little stretch of Elephant Lake that was okay - we found a few stretches this weekend that were decent but they often were along lakes with cottages
Some roads that' might have been decent were in poor repair.

You can go for hours in PA and see very little traffic and many of the roads are in wonderful condition tho not all and not all good on the same road ( 144 N of Renovo is under some construction)

••

Daught did you get Wykoff and 144 S of Renovo?

Wow some of those roads in the states look awesome.

Snake road looks like a straight arrow LOL.

I'm curious to see a knee drag on a twist. Got a pic?
Most times I see knee dragging is on smooth sweepers, ramps and the track.

Snake is fine - you just need to extend it 60 miles :D

lol uh, I would classify the dragon are pretty tight and technical. Also that guy in the vid, I lost him in 3 turns :\

No, riding with my gf was quite draining. What I had in my initial plan was enough.

Im guessing you live near the border?

These are knee dragging twists like the dragon?

Nope, milton.

Any corner is a knee dragging corner provided you go fast enough. The roads I posted vary from deep sweepers to tight quick turns. That route will work you.

If you want endless twisties and mountains, take a trip to South Korea. Outside of cities, barely a straight flat road in the whole country.

Riding in the Swiss Alps was fun as hell too, if mildly terrifying. The Furkapasse, Sustenpasse, Grimselpasse loop will melt your brain.

As far as Ontario goes, yeah, there's not much.
