Surprised there isn't already a post on this considering it's next weekend. Biggest motorcycle race/weekend in Canada! Who's all going? I'll be getting a weekend pass and camping it!

Anybody seen a schedule for it yet? What bands are playing this year? I hear BMW is doing demo rides again. Can't wait to try the S1000!
 
There was no post about it because it's not at L&L or KC.

Not many on GTAM care much about racing and those who do already know about it.

Mosport has the worst website possible. It's like my first MySpace page in high school.

They have improved the track substantially with better toilets that are actually clean and they got rid of the yahoos in the camp grounds.

Yes you need to buy ticket to get access to demo areas.

Mina, Sat and Sun. Double race weekend for all classes.
You might even see the old man on the 250 grid again on the B bike if the grid is small. Surprised him in Shubie when the old man tried to pass him on Sun race in lap 3. I serve my purpose for them as the backmarker.
 
Cool. Got Friday off and was planning to go to Whitby to look at riding boots anyway, might stop by and see what's going on there.

Have never been/heard of it before, website doesn't have a ton of information. Anyone know what my changes are of finding a pair of boots there? That is, how much merchandise is for sale at this thing?

Its a race, not swap meet. You can buy t-shirts and racing-related caps and crap .

Yeah I know the main event is racing, but the site says there will be Demos, Live Music, and "Riding Merchandise". Would have thought Riding merchandise would be more than t-shirts and hats.

GP Bikes and/or Royal Distributing in Whitby, Mosport is another 20-30 minutes away.

That was my original plan. I'll see how I feel and maybe do the extra distance.
 
Anyone know if you can demo bikes with an M2? From passed demo days I have looked up most sound like they wont let you without full M.
 
Pretty sure you need a full M, although at Honda's Come Ride With Us program you only needed a full M to ride the CBR1000rr, every other bike they would accept an M2.

Gonna be an awesome weekend watching Jodi Christie battle it out with Jordan Szoke. They were bar to bar at the last race and only finished 0.20 seconds or less apart from each other. Bring on the battle!!!! Honda vs. BMW all weekend!!!!
 
P.S. I'd recommend going Friday if you want to try the S1000. From what I hear there is always a long wait to try that beast out.
 
I'll be there all weekend like the last few years. Got my ticket for roughly $60 online from BMW, includes camping and dinner one night. Also I heard that Treble Charger will be playing there.

I know last year Suzuki and Honda let you ride with an M2, it's usually only RR (GSX-R) models that need full M
