Newfoundland and Gaspe Peninsula

Nothing wrong with 6 as a backbone for it does go the correct direction but it would be a shame not to weave up and down a bit in the prime riding areas.

That trek getting back west from the east coast is always problematic.
Nothing worse than riding into the sun coming west on the 401 after a tiring day.
That's one reason I suggested perhaps going north above Montreal but that would add a day or two to that section.

But dropping back down to the states is okay - that said - nothing much in New York near Lake Ontario and you go a bit out of your way getting home.

2 or 3 summers ago I did a road trip with my father around the gaspe peninsula (by car.) I remember seeing a lot of wet motorcyclists. There was a lot of rain during that trip.

Hi all,

Some updates. I added Hwy's 44, and 144 to my journey in PA. Also added parts of the Catskills in NY.

As per advice above Hwy 6 is the anchor, and 44 and 144 is a nice loop. The Catskills covers a bit of lower NY state.

Another Alternative:

Use 120 and 144 for a loop. No 44 on this one.

At this precise moment, I am leaning towards the latter. Though, trying to figure out a good way to get all three in without too much detouring.

120 is nowhere near as nice but you should be able to do 144/44/wykoff the same day you head down to PA if you leave early.

There is a slab nearby heading east.

Ok, gonna switch to the 144/44/wykoff. Thank you again!

yes and yes. You should be fine during the day. Places close a bit early in the evening and if you run out at night you will be waiting until morning.
