Motogp 2013

Cant believe how fast Aleix Espargaro is coming second in the 3rd practice. The ART is very competitive on the shorter track where speeds are not as high. Be interesting how that bike goes when Aprilia releases the new more powerful engine.

It is incredible especially since he beats Factory Ducati's...... But that being said there are 2 key factory riders missing from this equation.

Doesn't surprise me. Ducati is an enigma, and the Aprilia is a solid CRT package.

By the way, does anyone know the reason why they call it ART and not Aprilia? If Aprilia is the manufacturer, it should be called Aprilia. I'm guessing they call it ART because using 'Aprilia' would give too much credit to the non-MSMA manufacturer.

^^^ the chassis is designed by ART Aluminum , so I can only assume that's why?

Perdrosa declared unfit to ride.... Looks like Marquez can take over the championship lead.

I stand corrected. I did not know ART was a chassis manufacturer. I thought Aprilia was the chassis manufacture of title as well

In my (weak) defense, the announcers keep calling the "the aprilia".

Good race, although it would've been interesting to see how the podium would of looked if Lorenzo and Pedrosa were there fully fit. Lorenzo has stated he would not ride at Laguna, but who knows now after today's result.

Congrats to the podium winners, I would've wanted one of the other 2 riders in top spot though ;)

'It was go or crash' (quote of one of the riders in parc fermé to another rider)

Can't take it away from Marquez, he is leading the championship and he also missed one race (he crashed on the last lap) so all 3 (Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Marquez) have now missed a race and Marquez is still on top.

ART = Aprilia Racing Team, no?

"It should come then with little surprise that the Aprilia and its V4 motor has been the popular choice for teams in the MotoGP Championship looking for a claiming-rule team (CRT) solution. Dubbed the ART, the Aprilia-powered CRT bike also features an aluminum chassis that is designed by the Italian company. Thus with Aprilia offering essentially a turn-key GP solution for teams like Aspar Racing, it probably shouldn’t shock us that the similarities between the production WSBK-spec RSV4 and prototype ART being almost too close to distinguish between the two, even down to the bodywork."

Big power is absolutely useless at this track and Espargaro's Aprilia is "special". Redesigned magnesium engine casings to allow room for additional gearing changes that the other Aprilia's aren't capable of.

Aprilia Racing Technology?

Was hoping Pedrobear would not get broken this year and finally win a championship but it looks like the rest of the season will be Mr. Glass holeshotting everyone then falling back because he isn't "100%" like every other year he goes boom.

Maybe not but that is his thing...

I'm glad there are so many riders with a shot at taking it now going into Laguna at mid season.

What times do these races starts or even the warm ups I woke up at 10am to watch Cruz it said it starts at 11am and it was over by the time. So I'm guess timezone difference on that website was wrong
