I've only ran there twice, so maybe someone with more experience can chime in. But the only place I really had issues was on the back straight. There's a couple of rises and you can get light going over the rises. And you're almost (if not all the way) at max speed when it happens.

I believe they repaved a lot of the track last year also, didn't they?

Nope, I like to put my bike back on the trailer in one piece at the end of the day as well. Theres no foolin around on the big boy tracks.
It's not who tops out first. It's who ***** out first and gets on the brakes.
Even if my brain says 'dont get on the brakes' at the end of the straight, my body usually doesnt listen and grabs a handful.

Until I get there I'm still not 100% sure how much was repaved and how much will actually come into play on the motorcycle line. Notwithstanding fresh tarmac, I can't believe the rises on the back straight will have disappeared. Or the roller coaster drops into turn 2 and turn 4.
For sure not, but I'm hoping the giant concrete patches are gone for the most part.

You guys are funny. Mosport is not a problem. There is way More crashing on tighter tracks with hard braking and tight corners as people get in over their head and feel they can't stop or turn the bike, lean too much and lowside or high side getting on the throttle too hard. Mosport is fast flowing corners except 5 a and b which is no big deal either. I will be in red. See you there and don't be scared homie
Umm turn 2 and turn 4 can be very dangerous. This track is not like the parking lots of TMP and SMP, imo you should respect this track, speeds are way higher lots of elevation changes, not an ideal riding surface and things happen a lot faster.
Ahh, okay. They cut out the concrete and replaced it with asphalt. That's not bad.
I'm not "scared" of Mosport, just always apprehensive before going there. As soon as I'm on the track I'll be totally fine, it's just the build up. Sure there are a lot more crashes at smaller tracks, the big difference obviously is that a crash at Mosport is usually a lot more dangerous that TMP/SMP/GBM.

Oh awesome! No more concrete patches in 2, 3, 4 or 5!!!! Those things messed with my mind big time last year. I walked the track before riding it and the patch in 2 was standing about an inch proud of the surrounding tarmac in places. Hopefully now it will be possible to chose a line that uses the whole track, rather than one that avoids the patches.

Lol, I have been track riding for 15+ years, everywhere from California, Oregon, to Ontario and I get the EXACT same feeling you do with Mosport. I usually really start enjoying myself after I get a session under my belt. Going Friday, hope the weather holds out, if anyone remembers 55 Degreez we will be under that canopy.
