Two different bikes, two years apart, same spot.

Went out for a leisure cruise today on the parkway. I suddenly remembered I took pics here of my SV650S a couple days after I got her back in 2011 and there was no mass crowd of tourists to get in the way. Figured I would take a minute to "update" my picture by the Falls.

Now I'm wondering if I should go through my SV album and find the pictures I really like and try to replicate most of them on my R6. Would be a great reason to ride out to specific destinations again, not that much reason is needed to be out on two wheels to begin with. :lmao:

Yosh fan eh?

Both my bikes came with Yoshis already installed. They both sound great so never bothered to change them.
But yeah, I like 'em a lot. If my next bike has a stock or aftermarket I don't like, I would most likely lean to get another Yoshi.

edit: Now that you bring that up, I notice there are actually a lot more similarities between both my bikes.

Both have Pilot Road 2 tires, grip warmers, integrated signals in rear tail lights, both have 0 fender/plate is mounted directly to the tail, both have the exact same bolt LED lights (for the plates), aftermarket seats, LEDs for those long nights at Timmies, HIDs...there are probably a couple more that I can't think of right now.

The one thing I don't want the two to have in common is that I highsided on my SV and broke my arm!

hey man, you live in the falls???
im always out cruising on the parkway and fonthill area

I live not far from there. Parkway is nice but only at very select times. Sooooo many tourists doing 20 under the limit during the day, it simply enrages me. I tend to stay off it lately.
Also depends what kind of bike/riding style you have too I guess.

I do the pelham/lincoln/smithville/grimsby/stoney creek area pretty regularly. Need to start branching out further though, scenery is getting repetitive.

There are a few people regularly here from Niagara. There is also a facebook page set up for Niagara riders yiou may want to look into.

Niagara Sportbike Riders Club (NSRC). I haven't been out to a ride yetdue to schedule, but possibly soon?

hey suzuki2000, yea im aware of that group/club, im on it.. problem is that its super dead, no rides going on, i tried to post up a msg ragarding that, but no reply, so soon ill be setting up a meet myself, nothing fancy, just a night out during the week, for coffee and chitchat, then from there people are welcome to go riding, or stay behind and chit chat, setup a ride date, you know :)

There's already a few places in Niagara where people on two wheels end up and just stand around talking all night sippin' Timmies. Rather than being the new guy trying to set up a meet, it may be easier for you to go to the current ones that are already happening on a regular basis. Some of the common spots that come to mind are Port Dalhousie anytime on weekends, Chippawa Tims anytime on weekends, Cruise Nights on Lundy's Lane on friday nights. You will definitely see people parked with their bikes at any of those locations.

NSRC just spawned this year and doesn't have any trust with any of the riders, and to be honest no one cares to join an official club. Also it was slightly suspected that it was setup by cops to build a catalog of bikes/plates/faces for the new season. That could explain why it went dry. Glad I didn't go.

Personally I am not a social butterfly and I didn't buy a bike to park and stare. It's grimey and full of bugs because the only times I stop at a Tims is to use the loo and take a quick break.
If we ever meet and you want to ride, I have no problem with that. Just don't expect me to stay still for more than 20 minutes. :p

Good pic, I think the reason that no one was there is that you are in front of the US falls. ;)

Would be fun to go and replicate the pics as you said.

The first was because it was March during the week. Very few tourists.
The second was during the week as well. I had to wait a bit for a couple people to move on so they could be out of my frame.

If and when I get a 3rd bike I will definitely keep this photo in mind to add to it.
