2013 Demo Days

Not really. What's the hold up? Mom won't let you keep it in her garage?

Nope. Living in a condo in Yonge/Finch right now, not with parents.

The hold up is I need a house in order to secure my bikes and cars. Ideally one that has a gate in front of the house. Although I have never heard of anything stolen from my condo underground parking, but the stories I heard on this forum regarding upscale condos are horrifying.

I have been meeting up with real estate agents for the past week, saw two houses in forest hill area already, but still need to look at some more this week.

Nice neighbourhood with high price tags. I don't think I've ever seen a gated house in that area.

Signed up for the brp demo tomorrow. Ill be coming from a ride so if anyone's there look for me. Ill be the douch bag in all leathers riding a can am spider.

I signed up for tomorrow's ride, but ended up going today. It's fun, but it's nothing like riding a bike. If I had 20gs laying around, I'd buy one.

I wouldn't, I don't like the uneasy feeling of the rear tire in the centre track floating, gives me the sense of no control. And then, there is the fact of making turns which you have to do slowly or you might get thrown off the bike like you have to really lean in to it.

Yeah for sure it's something you have to get used to, but I'd buy one for long road trips.

Went to the demo at Brampton powersports. Rode the gsx1250 and Burgman 400.

Burgman is great is you never plan on a semi long trip, but felt really sketchy taking corners with a small amount of lean.

The gsx was alright. Motor is too smooth for me, and the transmission was too clunky.

Brampton was my first demo day. The route they took us on was a big straight-line box.

Even something like letting us pull a few figure eights in the parking lot would have told me so much more about the bikes.

I seriously thought this demo ride would start me on an unstoppable path to purchase a new Suzuki, instead, I left totally satisfied with my KLR.

Didn't know Brampton now let you book in advanced! Good thing they did there compared to the horrible Honda turnout few weeks ago.

I was thinking of checking out one of the Ducati demos - anyone else checked one out? The listings on their site seem to imply it goes for a full week, rather than just a single day o_O

They don't. I had to show up to book.

Went to Suzuki demo yesterday, they had the whole line up, it was fairly packed in the morning, but no need to wait, everyone got to ride a bike.

After 1pm, everyone seemed to have left for some reasons. Then it got VERY quiet towards the afternoon, the last ride at 4pm has only 5 riders including me, but 10+ bikes sitting around!!

I was the only guy on a sport bike (1000) for the last ride, the rest were touring bikes, they even let passengers to sit at the back on the tourings!

I rode a total 4 times, completely wasted! I took the GSXR600, 750, 1000 and SV650S. All the desirable bikes checked!

IMO, I like their bikes a lot... the handling and throttle response is the best, it is the smoothest and best among the japanese bikes noticeably, and very nimble too!

Unfortunately the brand and looks means quite a bit to me.
