post bike crash?

Because they obviously have an idea about what they are doing. I'm ducking out of this convo since there's no point wasting my time.

Good, take your condesending attitude with you *******. OP got **** on enough and is actually taking it pretty well. He doesn't need some self righteous twat talking down to him.

If you were half as smart as you thought you were you'd realize that it's not a matter of if, but when. I only hope that when you experience the joy of going down that you get some knowitall telling you what a bad rider you are. Maybe then you'll realize why I think you're a ****.

Good lol, if someone things a m2 course will make them "fully competent rider on the street" then its obviously they're bullshitting. Sure it can help but you have to learn some things on the road and not in a parking lot.

as for your bike- loosen off the bottom triple clamp bolts, grab the front brake and bounce the front end a couple times to get any twist in the front end out. Tighten the bottom triple clamp bolts back up and have someone who knows how to ride take it for a spin to make sure everything is okay.

As for your riding - you clearly need more education. Take another course, whether it be in a parking lot or at the race track. I honestly think everyone should take a course at the track, gives you the opportunity to learn how to brake and steer from speed. At your skill level i think you would get a LOT out of the intro to track or surviving the streets courses run at TMP.

As for your grammar/spelling - i gots nothing mang.

Well you are right, an MSF course won't teach you everything about riding but it will teach you how to turn a bike...

Yup at low speeds, at higher speeds its a lot different especially with wind being a huge factor that I learned about the first time I turned at high speeds, not something you are ready for.

Haha after watching twist of the wrist 2, i got back on the bike today, felt completely different in corners. Honestly when I rode a bicycle when I was a kid you pushed left to turn right and vice versa, when I started straightening out I tried to do that to get a sharper turn but instead I did the exact opposite.

I've learned my lesson though, its amazing what one video can teach someone. As for the bike so far no problems amazing at how I crashed and the speed at which I did. Might have bent the bars but its too little to notice.

:D thanks, really appreciate the help bringing down a ********* rider. Anyone who tries to put down another rider for crashing is just stuck up. Karma will come around I just hope he gets as lucky as me with his crash and doesn't end up in an ambulance.

Counter steering usually is required on any single-track vehicle over 10-15 km/h, whether it is a bicycle or motorcycle. You must've done it without noticing, which is how most motorcyclists do it before they are consciously taught it. It is odd that your reaction was to steer the wrong way, unless you started overthinking it

i guess i got too used to driving a car, its the only reasonable explanation, I think when I started straightening out i got scared and tried to turn the bars to the left which made me straighten out even more.

odd enough though I always pushed right to turn left and vice versa on a bicycle when I was a kid

You are 17 right? You're hardly used to driving a car at this point. Lots to learn on both counts.

Right on. More practice, less internet, and you will improve.

Yes I am 17, I've driven a car harder than most, wouldn't say I am hardly used to driving a car.

Funny, quite a few 17 year olds say that and it's almost never true. Driven stick? Used to clutch work? Engine braking? Manual hill starts? Used to all manner of road conditions/situations?

Cockiness may well be your biggest problem here.

+1, also I wouldnt blame the MSF course. People tend to drop their bike at slow speed manoeuvring rather than high speeds.

Is this a joke? You think driving stick means driving a car hard?

Secondly you shouldn't throw random words in a sentence that aren't in your vocabulary, enough trolling its obvious you're mad from the other thread. Maybe look up the word before you use it next time.

No joke, and all words are correct but I can help you if you don't understand them. If you don't understand the meaning of inexperience I'll be happy to google that for you too. It's important you understand that word, it's quite apt in this context.

I'm pretty sure you understood the cockiness part though.

Driving a car hard has nothing to do with how skilled you are. U have at most 2 yrs of road experience, you can say u have been racing on the track since you are 5 and u think you are the best driver in the world. But the trace does not have sand, gravel, pot holes, pickup trucks and minivans that can't see you.

My brother was 19 when he totalled my car because he rear ended someone. He didn't think it was his fault because the guy in front stopped too quickly. My car was lighter, better brakes, better suspension and full on summer tires yet he still rear ended a stock Camry. You tell me who's at fault? You are need to accept you are not skilled enough yet, this is how you will learn to ride better. Ride better will mean you will naturally be riding faster. There is no need to push pass your limits

States person who asks for help all the time as a "cocky" person. Sorry mate you have absolutely zero knowledge of the word cocky, you can try again once you've read the definitions I'll help you.

Im sorry did you read the conversation?

Sorry, my mistake. I thought you were 17, know all there is to know about driving in the couple of years you've been doing it, don't understand how road experience from that might help in riding a motorcycle, and learned all about riding a motorcycle by watching YouTube videos apparently. You're correct, not cocky at all.

Good

Sometimes I feel sad for the small minded people...but then people like this show up and I don't feel so bad :D
