Brand New Ducati Multi-Strada Sitting In Condo Parking Just For The Taking

Some people never learn... there's this white spanking new Ducati Multi-Strada in this condo basement parking lot with NO chains or any other restraints, they have covered it but with a crytal-clear transparent tarp, like a saran wrap used for your sandwiches (How do you think I know it's a multi-strada without raising the cover?).

Are you joking? In this day and age? I seriously think this might be a police decoy, I mean the bike is sitting by itself among 4 empty parking spaces and it's not locked or bolted down and they use saran wrap to cover it? It can't be true. The door to the garage opens by itself just by getting close to it, you don't even need a card/key.

I might take a picture and share it here, this guy is just begging for someone to take it.

Post the address peggy, that will teach him!

If you don't have a Ducati key the bike is only good as used parts unless someone changes a bunch of parts. Approx $3500 worth of parts, which much include the matching Ducati key to all the new parts.

Are you telling me that for just a $3500 investment I can have a new Ducati? That's a sweet deal!

I know a punjabi store owner that makes keys that can copy a coded lock, make a key out with the code just with the vin number of the vehicle and his computer, he charges $65 bucks. So you are telling that if the Ducati schmuck loses both his keys his out $3500?

Did you really just type this...dude please wear your helmet all the time and let the world know you're "special"

Let me explain, if the bike is stolen the thieves cannot go to the dealer and get new keys, they check a few things...but the owner of said motorcycle can if they happen to lose the key(s)...

So the guy has insurance. Like you say, besides maybe a chain or some other lame anti theft gimmick, what do expect him to do? Btw, what's a chain to a person willing to load a bike into a truck? Bike gets stolen, buddy calls the insurance company, big deal. Some people can afford these things because they can afford to lose them.

I highly doubt most stolen Ducati bikes are not parted out and shipped to some other country, so somewhat of a moot point.

A garage door that opens by itself in a condo building. That's S-M-R-T!

There are plenty of people that don't know about the high rate of theft in Condo parking lots. Write a note and put it on his saran wrap cover. Suggest a chain.

And my bike's been sitting in the driveway for months. Who cares?

A multi-strada is not really on a hit list of stolen motorcycles....I'm sure there are tons of older standard bikes, cruisers and tourers that nobody touches...
