Anyone heard of chain drain or know where to get one?

Gonna go check it out the Lowe's by 9th and Steeles in the evening. Thanks for the info.

If it's there, let me know...and don't buy it all!

Back to rail riding.
I was at Lowe's in Hamilton 20 minutes ago. There's space & a price ticket ($7.99) on the rack for the Dupont "Motorcycle Chain Saver" goodness but it was sold out, so I bought a ceiling fan.

If the fan for extra engine cooling? Do you have a gold wing?

Summer is right round the corner, don't mind the snow we just had. Just nature getting in on the April fools.

I might have to give that stuff a try. There was quite the collection of wax and gunk around my front sprocket last I checked.

Lots left, I bought 3. Go buy before this thread is read more lol

Now back to the original topic...how do you guys clean your chains? =P

Cool contraption. Dunno if I'm ready to plop down that much money for it though. Looks simple enough to make my own.

As for Dupont Muti-use Teflon, yes, the formula changed and no longer contains dry-wax. However, Lowes still carries the old stuff in small squeeze bottles. Good for taking with you on trips.
As for Dupont Chain Saver, there's some uncertainty as to whether it is as awesome as the multi-use dry-wax. I posted a thread a while back comparing them and I couldn't tell the difference. Webbikeworld generally praised it in their review though not as highly as the old multi-use formula.

The Dupont chain saver sucks....that things drips and flings, I should've bought the multi-purpose (the blue can).

Back on topic..I like that contraption but I feel it is overpriced so I will fabricate something made out of cardboard most likely.

I'll give it a go when I get a chance to clean and relube my chain and post the findings here. Tirox flings all over the place -_-

But then again, I think I was lubing my chain too religiously lol

Never had a problem with fling with Chain Saver...

Was at Lowes earlier today and decided to check them out. The following are the two that I saw.

For what's its worth, they both say O-Ring safe, but I think I'll go with the new chain saver stuff.

this must be a true posser tool, because you shouldn't be washing the lub out of your chain. make sure you have a trailer to take your bike to tim's to posse with your shinny chain
