Question about mods

Hey. My apologies if I missed this somewhere on the forum. I'm new!

I don't own a bike yet, but looking to by summer time. I'm a HUGE pink fanatic and I want a pink bike...How does one go about changing the colour of a sports bike...say a CBR or Ninja?

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!

You can get the fairings painted by CarbonCat or Cheekeebandito
Get your rims power coated by Recidivist
And get your decals redone pink by Drew at Track-side Cuts

They are all members here, you can do a search, or PM me for info

wow all such helpful advice! Thank you so much!

Is china the only place to get a after market fairing kit? Is there any reputable places to purchase them online?

I like the idea of power coating my rims pink. I'd like a pink LED light kit too.

I want custom decals that say "pinky" with matching helmet if possible but might save that for my second bike when I outgrow my first one.

I love my pink!

Agreed, even if you play for the other team.

Don't forget to re-register the bike in the new colour, or just register it as "multi coloured" so you won't have to worry about registration again if you ever get sick of pink. Just takes a few minutes at a Service Ontario location and a few bucks (I think $10?).

And +1 on not painting original fairings to keep retail value up.

Auctmarts and extremefairings are a couple reputable brands that do custom colors.

www.Motorcycleledlights.com has decent kits for led's

Bad idea posting your gender in the forum... lol .. kidding, I guess welcome n see you on the street when you get the bike.

Now it should be mentioned that you shouldn't change much on your first bike or at least the first year, chances are you might drop it one or twice. So get used to the bike before you go all crazy on the mods ... my 2cents

I don't want to go crazy on the mods just yet. But when I do I want to make sure Ive done enough research to know what I'm getting into first. I can do some slight mods to personalize it without spending a arm and a leg doing it. Just adding a few "girlie" touches to it. Even if I got a black bike and had a pink LED kit with pink decals would work fine for now. I'm starting off with a smaller bike and I KNOW within a year or 2 I will be wanting bigger and more power, I also don't want to get something that is so big that I can't control it. I think I would max out at 600cc. But who knows.

I love this site btw! Everyone is so friendly. :)

:P get your license and your bike and if its a 250 then keep an eye on the 250 group rides, I'll probably be setting a noob friendly ride to 507 in May

let the olympic leg humping games begin

I'm hoping to get my license in the next couple weeks and take the course within the month. I'm searching for my gear first.
