So I was watching AMC last night and there was a notice below saying they're removing AMC.

Great, the channel that have shows worth watching. Walking Dead & Breaking Bad. You think they're doing that intentionally?

If it happens, I'll just watch the upload next day.

Other broadcasters have expressed concern that too many of AMC’s shows are available online, which makes it easy for viewers to skip their network debuts.

As opposed to HBO?

Honestly TV just blows. If it went away I couldn't care less. There's more than enough entertainment and KNOWLEDGE online.

not to worry Im sure rogers will pay AMC, lay off a few hundred people and hike rates for good measure.

I'll down grade my pkg if AMC goes...one of the few channels I watch

Who cares ..... we all just watch it illegally on the internet anyways.....

Do you feel the same way about movies? I ask because the TV shows on AMC and HBO for example are far better than the vast majority of movies. The real stars are starting to come from TV shows vs. movies.

Meh. They'll negotiate a deal. The costs will get passed on down to the customers. Rinse and repeat.

It's a sad circle jerk.

1. People hate cable companies, either reducing packages or cutting it off completely
2. Good shows then suffer as they don't have the "viewers" they should due to the crap *** cable companies ripping everyone off.

I have been without cable for 5 years, I'll never go back. Long live Netflix w/unblockus

cable companies are in business to make money. They however have costs too, one of those costs being $x/y subscribers for any particular channel (they don't get their feeds for free). Also the crtc forces them to provide you with x amount of Canadian content so channels that no one wants get bundled with the popular ones. Satellite companies could just sell you the channels you want but until you went to the set top box cable companies had to sell them in blocks of frequencies and then use a "frequency block" to prevent you from watching unpaid for content. Where cable companies are truly evil is their poor customer service and billing practices.

^^ and THAT is how i roll....I dont mind paying for the TV i want to watch. But when they are tearing me a new one while half the time i'm staring at commercials i take a pass!!

Maybe Rogers will now insert text indicating how much more AMC wants Rogers customers to pay to keep the channel
Nothing like a kiddie fight in front all of your customers.
Might actually be amusing for us to watch.
I'll get it from my special site 10 minutes after the show ends... I like it without commercials anyway.
But I can't wait to know what's gonna happen
