December show

??? I am a bit curious why you point out the fact they are 'Asians'... Is it because it is typical for Asians to wear weird clothes and acting all stupid?

Or is it rare to see an Asian wear weird stuffs and act like an idiot with boxes and you had to point out such rare occurrences and show your disgust by 'shaking your head'....

Maybe because they were Asian.

Maybe because they were Asian.

A few non Asian buddies of mine would say the most racist things and joke around but I know it is harmless since we know where to draw the line.

On a different note, I was on a business trip in the midwest. That office location comprise of 100% white folks. Nothing raciast was directly says but the whole trip was quite uncomfortable. Example of things asked of me... "Would I prefer a bicycle rather than a rental car"...at first, I thought it was a joke and laugh but they didn't..."We don't have any Chineserestaurants here"..(assuming I am Chinese which I am not) "...."dogs and cats are meant to be pets here in the US...they are not meant to be food consumption."..

the only racist thing i ever saw was on a british airways flight where are white man is sitting next to a window seat ,typing away on his laptop... a black lady sits next to him. After a few mins he gets up and says " i'm going to sit over there....if you don't mind"

The guys at Honda really knew there stuff. We talked a lot about their new CBR500 which I'm now really considering getting, to upgrade from my Ninja 250.

I'm also considering upgrading to the cbr500r...I wouldnt mind hearing your opinion on it. I think it looks amazing for the most part. Would be nice to jump up twice in power. However the one thing that turned me off of the bike was the redline starts at 9000rpm. I feel like I would hate that. What do you think since we ride the same bike now? I feel like the ninja would be more fun, and I'd probably regret the purchase. I might wait til the following year and save for a ninja zx6r or something. I love the kawi's. Wish they made a 500, it would be a no brainer.

Kawasaki did make a 500R till 2009. Plenty out there used.

What's wrong with 9,000? Sounds like plenty to me. But I ride a Triumph twin, so what would I know?

Dude I agree with loving Kawi. I love my 250 so much, it has never given me a single problem and I put over 13k on it this season. I would have went for a Ninja 650 or ZXR6 but I'm a little young and I would get butchered with the insurance. The "hypothetical" quote I got from SF was wayyyy more reasonable for the Honda, compared to the quotes for the two Kawis. If price was no option I would definitely stick with Kawi, they really won me over with their 250.

Honestly, I really just want a little more kick than what I'm currently getting with my 250, without having to break the bank. The CBR500R provides that... so that's really the defining factor as to why I'm getting it. I did sit on it, felt similar to the 250 nice and comfy... The bike also just looks sexy as hell. Most of my riding is done within the city so I'm not pushing the limits of a bike often, so I don't think the redline would bother me personally.

So excited, ugh spring needs to hurry up. I heard supplies were limited as well and since I can't purchase it until the spring I might not even get it :( but we'll see.

As a queer Asian woman, I get the gamut. From racist comments, to sexist comments, to homophobic comments. "Lucky" I'm not disabled, nor obese, nor illiterate in English. Because you see, any form of stereotyping is of the same vein - ignorance.

It's nice to see the board speak up against racism. Anti-sexism and homophobia would be tightening our bolts, especially for our overwhelmingly straight-male voices here.

Haven't actually ridden the Ninja 300 so I don't know how much preppier it is, but I got on it during the show, and I was instantly lovin' it. Seems like the Ninjas are more comfortable than the CBRs - I think the narrower seats do it.
