How do I disable my email app?

If I disable it will I still be able to email tweets?

I dont have the Email App setup...maybe just delete the accounts from it.

A lot of times I see tweets with links to articles I want to read later. I can "share" the tweet to my email so it just emails me with the link.

I had to have the email app set up for this but I really only need (or want) one email application set up.

I'd also like to figure out a way to have my facebook app icon show how many notifications I have (similar to the number in the bubble that appears for text messages).

i just tried to share a link, and i got over a dozen options(Apps), including 3 email apps...i chose Gmail, and it worked.
You must have chosen your Email App, and then chose ALWAYS instead of just once, and it using your Email App(launch by default) to always do this type of sharing.

you can clear its default action by going to....hit MENU button(while on homescreen), manage apps, scroll to Email App, select it, and clear defaults.
Now you should have more to choose from when sharing again.

And as i stated in an earlier post today, try to delete your accounts from the Email app.

I dont do/get a lot of facebook notifications, but my notification center drop-down is good enough for me.
Or did you try Facebook App settings(menu button).

App "Pocket, read it later"
Its an extension on chrome and firefox.
You click on a button and it goes on your pocket.

You can then access it in article format or whichever format from your device anywhere. :)

Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 (on Jelly Bean) carrier unlock method in the wild

In case you happen to own one of Samsung’s 2012 flagship smartphone, either the Galaxy S3 or the Galaxy Note 2, you’ll be happy to hear that you can unlock them from the shackles of your carrier free of charge. And you can do all that by yourself, as long as your handset runs a Jelly Bean version.
Naturally, we don’t encourage you to go for such procedures in the first place, and unlocking a handset that was purchased with a new contract agreement will surely be frown upon by your carrier.
But in case you want to use the Galaxy S3 and/or the Galaxy Note 2 with another GSM mobile operator, or sell the phone to upgrade to a different device, you should definitely check out this method.
xda-developer owl74 found a hidden menu in Samsung’s software that lets you perform the unlock from your own home. The method works on the GT-N7105 but other Note 2 models as well as some Galaxy S3 versions will let you do the same exact thing.
Redmond Pie describes in detail the steps you need to take to unlock either handset:
Step 1: On your Galaxy Note II, launch the phone app and press these keys:
*#197328640#
Step 2: From the Main Menu, navigate to [1] UMTS > [1]Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options.
Step 3: In the Options screen, choose [3] Perso SHA256 OFF. Wait for 30 seconds after making this selection.
Step 4: Go back one step by pressing the menu key, and then back once. You should now again be in [6] Network Lock
Step 5: Here, now choose [4]NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ. Wait for one minute after making the choice.
Step 6: After a minute has passed, reboot your Galaxy Note II.

Have you unlocked your Galaxy Note 2 and/or Galaxy S3 yet?

The predictive text on my S3 is driving me nuts. On my iphone if I accidentally hit a letter as I was typing the phone fixed it for me. On my S3 it just gives me some off the wall word and I have to backspace through the whole word to get rid of it.

Sometimes even if I type a word in correctly it changes it. Today I was trying to type "could" and the closest I could get with the phone was "ccould." WTF

So for your tweets, the app tweetlane is what i use and you can make tweets "favorites" which means you can access them all in one tab and what not.

For your typing, i suggest strongly that you get Swiftkey3.. best predictions ever and you can get it to whether correct after spacebar or not correct at all..you choose.

Make your own widget.

UCCW

You can make your own or download skins.

Also works on the Jelly Bean lockscreen

well if you go in the swiftkey settings, you can decide that spacebar does nothing.
therefore youll have the predictions up top, but it wont insert them automatically for you.

im pretty sure its under the "advanced" settings menu
