Wow.
So I had originally posted a simple question because I made the mistake of not reading my manual or how to check the oil levels from a viewing window. I came from a stick based bike before so things were a bit new to me so I was really confused as to why oil levels would be changing in window.
After realizing I had placed too much oil in, I ended up searching on gixxer on how to remove it. Looks like somebody else wanted to do what I wanted to do.
Again, I apologize for not knowing what seems to be common sense to you guys.
Now....
I work in an open-source programming environment. Long story short, I get more "stupid" questions asked in a day than this forum gets asked in a year due to the amount of n00b programmers that come onto our irc channel. I, and among others, make it our jobs to spend at least an hour a day answering questions and reminding n00bs that no question is too stupid because we were all there at one point.
Most of my colleagues know I'm a proud owner of a motorcycle and I talk about riding on my spare time quite a bit. But...seriously, the community on GTAM makes me ashamed of associating myself with riders. I know 3 others who used to post on these boards.
1 poster posts under a male alias even though she is female in life. She noticed that men on these boards act more stupid and immature than MMORPG hardcore fat nerds at the mention of a female.
The other is a car mechanic, around 20 years old, and realized the same thing I did but didn't bother posting anymore because of being crucified for asking questions.
And the last is, ironically, another GSXR-750 owner that is also a programmer whom no longer posts here because he straight up said "the community blows".
I love riding and I don't think I will ever stop riding unless I'm physically incapable of doing so but I have never met a community so unreasonably hostile in my life. This is coming from communities that include some of the most **** talking in the world (World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, etc.).
Long story short, I don't think I'll be posting here much anymore unless there are some really urgent questions I need to ask. I've got deadlines and milestones to meet right now and things like this poke at me the wrong way. I hope you guys got a self-esteem boost and entertainment out from my stress.
