I am a new rider and am looking for a first bike. I am pretty much set on a KLX250S dual sport. Are there usually good deals at the motorcycle shows or would it be generally only certain models that would be on sale. What kind of discounts? 10%, 15%, free hat with every 6 bikes you purchase?

Go to the january show. That is where you will find dealers. The december show is manufacturers showing off their 2013 models.
 
Heard honda will have a awesome deal.

January show is best. The others are not worth the price of admission.

...from experience... last day.... last few hours... spot the sales guy that's almost out of a job... Good luck. ;)
