Any Thruxton Owners?

Bright, between Cambridge and Woodstock.

Just a thought, did you try Sturgess Cycle in Hamilton?

I tried sturgess. They havent got any in stock. Dont expect any till mid october. He recommended going to Whitby. Apparently supply is very low on this bike.

You can talk to lots of thruxton owners online, there must be forums for that specific bike, or triumph in general. Go to a dealer, check it out, sit on it, ask what you want and move on. Then state your concerns or questions online and have a sea of people who would be happy to answer I am sure.

not an owner, but love the bike, good luck!

Ive done lots of reading, comparing, etc. Just want to actually try one on for size. See how I fit, etc. This isnt something you can do online. I will find the time to go to a dealer or meet up with someone. Just havent found the time to do so yet.

Just curious? When did you plan on riding it?

I am on the road for work. Computer tech for a school board with 10 sites in 3 counties to take care of. Last season I put on 12K from mid July when i got on the road to December. Just during work hours. I travel from Dunville, Caledonia, all the way out to Simcoe, and as far as Courtland. Lots of time to ride, but not much time to bugger off during 'off work' hours.

Exactly. It took me 9 years to put 24,000 kms on an SV650S and most of those were in the last couple of years when my kids got old enough to be left alone.

Evenings and weekends on with the family. Maybe 500kms of driving done during that time on the bike, with the wife. (kids with grandparents for the night, etc) The other 12K makes up for it

When, where and what I do or why I havent gotten to a dealer etc is nothing to do with the thread. I was simply looking for someone localish to meet up with, check out the bike and get some in person opinions and see if the bike actually fits me. I've read varying reviews about how some people were cramped on the bike, while others state is comfy as a cruiser. Im guessing the truth is somewhere in the middle, but until I can actually test fit, I have no idea.

I've got an 09 Bonneville with a Thruxton seat.. Not sure that would help though, the Thruxton bars are a LOT different, and mine are aftermarket. The pegs are also placed a little farther back as far as I know.
