As for the Isurance thing.. my bad.. most of us are led to believe by the media that bad drivers are the cause of high rates, its partly true but mostly just greedy corporations.

I should have stated this thread as "just another idiot rider on the road"..
 
I see far more idiots in cars evey day than on bikes. I'm constantly calling the opp on my hands free device while doing 101kmh.

Come on guys and gals, I was trying to be sarcastic in my remark. Don't prove me wrong.

The guy on the bike unecessarily put himself into harm's way and they blamed it on someone else.
Then put himself in harm's way again as he yelled at that person, and yet again as he sped off.
 
tl;dr but at the 25 second mark the car with the camera was being a bit of a tailgating jerk.

The rider put himself in that position, twice. If any vehicle pulls in front of me that close I just maintain the same gap (as long as I can see ahead of them) since they are apparently comfortable with that.
 
Normally, a car tailing me as close as the OP'er did would have gotten his mirror kicked off. OP is a ****ing ***wipe.

That would be on a good day. On a bad one... I would probably throw him in the guardrail with a well placed kick in his fender.
 
What,s the problem. Poor merge by first driver. bike moves through, change lanes then speeds up as the op is holding up traffic in middle lane! Ride on and drive your own ride.
 
we share the road with all types of drivers....the first car imo is not an aggressive driver and does not have the skills to merge and maintain a good constant speed at the same time. These types of issues WILL NEVER go away.

When we ride we always consider these types of drivers but still get seriously offended when they get in our way. If the shoulder was still there and the merging lane ended i may have taken the same route.....but with no shoulder??......forget about it.

Back to my point.... this will not be the last time anyone of us sees this. I try to learn how to look for these and how to ride 'around' them.
 
I don't really see anything major wrong with his riding style...

@ the 0:51 second mark you passed a vehicle in the left lane, an offence under the HTA. I hope after you ******* about someone else breaking the law, you turned the video over to the TPS so they could ticket you.

Passing a vehicle in the left lane is not an offence in Ontario.

And I'm with the majority; I see little wrong with the rider. I'd have done much the same. Most people have no idea how to merge smoothly. Screw 'em. I'll get merged safely and not get too concerned if I need to accelerate hard to do so.

+1 Also looks like at about 40 seconds, the OP sees the rider coming up on the outside, so he steps on it to try to block him in. OP, are you really another rider, or just a 4-wheel vigilante who has come onto the forum to rant because you didn't manage to kill the guy. Certainly looks like you tried. Go ahead, show this to the cops. Hope they charge you with dangerous driving!

You realise you completely invented a charge out of nothing, right? The OP didn't appear to do anything wrong, but since he was in a cage all of a sudden everyone seems to want to blame him for ****? This is such a symptom of the blameless child mentality, seriously. Grow up people.
