Not bad for a thirty year old bike.

As far as criticizing someone's driving style.
Some people still need to have stupid pointed out to them before they understand the concept.
Driving a vehicle up on the right and trying to split between others like that means you should have left the bike at home and ridden the rocket.

And 90% of the drivers should have left their cage at home, and lots of bicyclists should have left their bicycles at home. And don't even get me started on pedestrians who left their brains at home! Point of my original post was - ride your own ride. Rider in the vid did some questionables moves as many other riders/drivers/etc do every day. And I am sure he will never do it again since OP opened thread about him on GTAM - he probably locked his bike away because of this and is hiding in his momma's basement.

I am so sorry OP - thank you for posting it, I did not realize my maneuvers offended u that much. I sold my blue suzuki immediately after seeing your post and bought Toyota Prius.
Can you please send me DVD with your recording - I would like to put it on continuous loop on all my TVs at home to remind me never get on the bike again.

I also sent apology letter to all insurance companies and ask them to reduce rates for everyone as main idiot is off the bike now.

Haha, very funny post.

My opinion (since there aren't enough already): car was stupid but rider should've moved on and not been a dick.

Didn't read the whole thread but did everybody miss the fact that the driver was deliberately trying to block off the biker from blasting by in the merge lane? Maybe there was some bad blood between them already, maybe not, but the driver was worrying more about enforcing street justice than driving safely. Rider was probably ****** off and let his aggressiveness out with the throttle. Who hasn't done that?

Just saying it wasn't poor driving from that car ahead, it was deliberate.

Some people need to preach.

OP doesn't ride motorcycles and hates bikes.

That said, i thought it was going to be another vid of a guy going 150k or more. I want to see a future where all vehicles on the road have a camera mounted in them, which records their view, but also the drivers own speed and statistics, as well as the speed of the vehicles the camera captures. And they would be so accurate that their data would be admissible in court. That would be invasive, but also kinda awesome because then when some immature punk blows by on the highway doing over 150 you could follow him and get him busted. There are so many times when i see punks blasting by on their bikes driving dangerously and it makes you want to catch them and go all Charles Bronson vigilante on them, but that wouldn't solve much.. getting them fined and possibly banned from driving in court would though.. ;)

I don't see the issue, the car with the cam was already on the left lane when the bike passed, he would have made a clean pass if the idiot in the car didn't drive like a complete idiot and almost crashed for no reason

need some attention?

Definitrely OP needs some attention! The bike did well not to stay in the back of an idiot entering the higway at less than the speed limit. Merging at that low speed is dangerous and the bike would've been the last vehicle andthe one to get rammed from behind from cars already on the highway.

i think he was doing close to 150 towards the end of that video, when he split lanes and almost clipped my car..had he lost control i would have most certainly ran him over.. i was doing about 100 when he passed me.

i was actually contemplating on calling 911 but no point.. my phone was stowed away in the glove box and he'd been long gone at that speed. I should have got the plate number instead, he was going so fast.. all i recall was 7xxx on the plate.

Something tells me you have way too much time on your hands

Riders behavior and actions fall under the "stunting law" and various other infractions in Ontario. I'd report his plate number and provide video to police in whatever area that was. These type of riders are a menace and a danger to other road users and as long as we share the road with people like this, it IS our business.

worry about what others do, mind your business.
Why is the limit at 150?... Is it because the government tells you so?
What's the difference between 101 and 149? You're still speeding... So what's your point?!?
As long as it does not affect you directly, why wish other people harm and talk down to them like you are some sort of god?

You post too often about other riders and what they should/shouldn't do, who the **** are you?
There are police officers patrolling the streets and they make good money doing what they do, leave it up to them.
Stop thinking you're better than everybody else and that riders such as these are giving you "a bad name".
If I ever see you on the road, I'll make sure I pass you doing 260 and remind you why we are not "brothers of the road".

THIS, +1. Don't worry about others, you do you and he does him

Two pages for that? Are you serious?

I thought the exact same thing. Big deal.....*yawn* The first part is nothing and the pass at the end is a bit close but I've done much worse and didn't think twice about it. *shrug* Not that unsafe if the bike is small enough to fit and has the power to accelerate past the car.

lol.
why not report the retard driver?

They were merging at like 70, while traffic seems to be going 100+. that's pretty hazardous to the cars on the right lane.

just an fyi.. i ride an R6, this is my third bike and had my M for over 10 yrs.. it may seem like i'm a new user on gtam, but i've been on and off this board for yrs.. just got tired of reading all the xxx has fallen sometimes...

i've seen lots of decent riders and still do..just that bunch of bad apples on the road that gives motorcycle riders a bad rap... granted there are way more bad auto drivers, but crap like this usually end up in someone dead rather than a fender bender.

Was the rider screaming at the Driver?
Can your voice even be heard when you are doing 100 and in your helmet?

We need led displays that can flash obscenities...
or of course a solid object thrown will work too...but I think there might be some legal implications there :)

I see a dashcam on a car, and the comment of calling 911. Wanna be cop?

That wasn't lane splitting. It was a bike trusting the cars to drive properly when he himself can't. Riding a sportbike and moronicus doesn't just accelerate past onto the highway when he has about 6 opportunities, instead choosing to constantly cut across this guys front bumper.

That was in a Dean Martin/Matt Helm movie. The rear window display scrolled whatever he said into a microphone.

While driver displays typical gta style driving there's no reason this rider should put himself in a danger zone without an exit plan like that.

Imho we need two rules for HTA:

1. no passing on the right along with min speed enforcement for the left lane(s)
2. merger rule: one vehicle through, one vehicle merged (this alone would help everyone immensely)
