Am off work, bored, and thinking I'm going to grab a proper mountain bike tomorrow. Anybody know where there are some good trails or better yet want to go for a ride?
If your disc are squealing you did it wrong.
Your location says beaches. There's places closer to you like Seaton, Durham Forest, or Ravenshoe, but if you really want to ride near Hamilton there's Waterdown trails, Dundas Valley Conservation Area, and North of Sydenham Rd.
Distinct possibility that i moved to hamilton
Sweet! I will quite likely take you up on that. Any suggestions for shops to check out? I'm looking for something probably in the 4-600 dollar range, nothing too serious just front suspension disc brakes and a good gear change mechanism.
No one here cares about your problems!

Yeah..I messed with them a few times..can't get it to stop...ready to toss the whole rig..sigh..
FMJ and others seem to have extensive collections of bikes that they occasionally pare down.
I second Dundas valley.
My buddy is telling me he can probably get me a really good deal through direct buy but if I order it tomorrow ill have to wait a few weeks for it.
I think going through a bike shop is going to be too expensive
Before you go and do anything dumb, let's sort it out. What brakes? Fork? Have you chamfered the leading edges of the pads yet? Cleaned/deglazed the pads and cleaned the pads and rotors with brake cleaner? I've been running discs since I got my first MC Pro Stop in 93 and I'm pretty good at sorting them out if you need a hand.
Distinct possibility that i moved to hamilton at the beginning of the month.
