Saw An Actual Police Chase Of 3 Sport Bikers

The bike behind the cop could have been an undercover or plainclothes cop. Easier to keep up with bikes when you are on one..

So this was not in Ontario? I feel like many important details where left behind...

Ya I guess you're right...just make sure you don't call them when YOU need them...cause you know...your problem might be useless to someone else...that way you keep them free for helping others who are actually in need.

Have you called the police when you needed them? or how bout when you got mugged by two men.. who give you a black eye because they had been trying to steal your cell phone.. and all the police say is.. well you shouldn't have been walking home alone at 10oclock at night... really.. or have you called them when your friend gets drugged at a club and you find her passing out bc she denied some loser so he put G in her drink... before you open your mouth you should consider the reasons behind someone's feelings and beliefs..

THANKS for coming out...

My first thought after reading that statement was that she's never held a job, and doesn't understand how the chain of command works.

i sure hope you aren't referring to me... because this shows your ignorance ... this forum is rather disappointing... you make assumptions based on what? you attack with insults based on what? ...

assumptions make you look ignorant... you haven't the slightest clue what i do for a living, how much i make and what my level of education is... perhaps before you jump to conclusions you should do a little bit more research... but i assume this would mean you would have some type of intelligence... which you clearly don't... instead you sit behind a computer and attack with insults to try and feed your insecurities which are quite transparent.

I guess a few of you boys on this forum can't handle a strong, opinionated female... boys... smmmhh...

You're right no one ever died from going to fast... with other motorists around.... on a highway.... not "serious" at all... did i miss a dot dot dot

Although this is really reckless driving and super dangerous i can't help but smile... i know the cop must be soo ******.. and i hate pigs.. they spend their time on useless situations instead of worrying about serious crime...

Actually yes I have called the police when I got jumped and beat in the Junction. They found the bastards, locked them up, and prosecuted for what they did. One was let go as e was a juvenile and the other I saw in court where he was sentenced for what he did to me.

Every dealing I've had with the police has been positive so this is where I speak from. The job they do is thankless pretty much everyday and I would like to see more respect for them. There are ******* cops just like there are ******* civilians but I refuse to paint them with a single brush.

And yet the vast majority of Motorcyle deaths occur at speeds below 60km/h, I don't have to actual stats on me, but I believe in excess of 100km/h made up less than 5% of the fatal accidents on a bike.

So if he's doing 160km/h with little danger to himself, even less danger to other motorists, why get all up in arms about it if the guy feels like paying the $200 ticket or whatever it is in Maryland for 60 over.

you guys know nothing.
99.9% of motercycle deaths are at low speed.
comming off the bike at 250+ wont kill you. stopping to quick does

Yeah I was referring to you. I made an assumption based on your statement. I pretty much spelled out that I was jumping to conclusions when I said "my first thought..."

However this post is showing my assumption to be correct, which is that you don't try and understand things you just let yourself get angry and hateful instead. You don't seem to understand the responsibilities of being a cop, and you don't seem to understand my reply. You just hate on cops and lash out at me instead. It's a lot easier to be hateful and vengeful than understanding. GTAM is full of that ****, it's not just you.

Anyways in case you care to try and understand, I will try and explain: Does your job require you to do things that other people dislike? Of course it does, all jobs do. Would it be fair to hate you for doing those things, like you hate cops for doing what they're instructed? Of course not. That's all.

Also I have to say that playing the gender card was real weak. My response was to your post, nothing more.

Cops serve the additional function of saving big mouths and bullies from a beat down by the average citizens who don't feel like going being cuffed and charged for creaming someone who clearly needs it. Mind you, there's been a few times they offered to go next door for a coffee while things got sorted out - turned down the offer though.
There was one guy from my regiment who was a bully corporal and I saw him years later in a Metro uniform and he was still an SOB just to say hi to. He's one of the few that got in to go power tripping. Decent cops can make life miserable for those guys too.

Motorcyclists and Speeding Ninety percent of the time, a motorcyclist killed or seriously injured in a speed-related crash was the person doing the speeding. Motorcyclists are at greatest risk in urban areas, where traffic tends to be heavy and maneuvering can be complicated. In addition, other drivers are less likely to notice motorcycles on busy city streets.

This is not exactly what you are talking about in relation to the 100km/h issue, but speed is always a factor. If most deaths occur below 60km/h, as you say, then i would believe that is because bikes are getting hit by cars or other motorists. I would think that most deaths in which the rider is at fault are due to speeding, if not excessive speed.

As for the other motorists on the road, i think it is ridiculous to assume that one is somehow safe by doing these speeds merely because the "stats" support it. All it takes is a motorist reaching for his radio or grabbing a coffee or a sneeze and drifting over a few feet and bang your dead. Not to meantion the posibility of mechanical failure on any part of your bike. One may be the best rider in the world but all it takes is one errant manoeuvre from another motorists or a blown tire and at 160km/h you are dead.

I would like to see the actual stats that you are referencing and see if there is a differentiation between the number of riders that actually exceed 100km/h versus those who travel at 60km/h. I wonder if the stats you are referencing refer to the average speed of travel for motorcyclists. My guess is that the average speed of riders is way under 100km/h and that is the reason for the stats you have provided.

I do not mean to disrespect your opinion as a believe that you truly have read those stats but i do question the stats and if all variables were taken into consideration.

And yet the vast majority of Motorcyle deaths occur at speeds below 60km/h, I don't have to actual stats on me, but I believe in excess of 100km/h made up less than 5% of the fatal accidents on a bike.

The Hurt report has similar findings to the stats I had seen elsewhere ages ago.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_findings_in_the_Hurt_Report

1 in 1000 fatal accidents were at speeds greater than 86mph

Edit: Point #21 is interesting on that list, most crashes are males, but females are over represented... Be safe ladies.

why do people always have to refer to this Hurt report that dates back to 1981 based on 1970's results? We have totally different demographic of riders, different cars and driving behavior and faster more powerful motorcycles than back than. Let's see a more recent stat report like say after 2000.
