My 2008 Suzuki GSXR-750 was Stolen

Today when I arrived home I discovered my gsxr was stolen. It is all black. 2 guys in a blue Plymouth Caravan somehow got into the underground parking of my building, picked it up and put it in the van. I have security making me a copy of the video and will post it once I get it.

Please keep your eye out for anyone selling this bike. The last 6 numbers of the VIN are 103575.

I have some pictures of the culprits. There were at least 2 of them in a Blue Plymouth Caravan. If anyone recognizes this van please post. Unfortunately the license plate is not clear.

That sucks. Insured?

Its not exactly like they broke into Fort Knox though...any idiot can get into condo parking. Security there is a fallacy.

Man, I feel for ya. You don't really want it back do you? Who knows what they will do to it while in their possession. Question, what did you differently to secure your bike in an underground lot where you couldn't see your bike?

Yeah, its insured. You think there is sufficient security but you're right. It's a bit of a fallacy. I am hoping I can get the license plate number from the video but its not exactly high def. A friend of mine chains his bike on in his condo. I think I need to invest in a chain.

The plate is stolen, don't get your hopes up... these guys know what they're doing.

If they knew what they were doing, they wouldn't have been loading the bike in the back of a van.

you know what man....I used to live in a student co-op....in down town toronto 'Neill Wycik' ...do you know what a co-op is? It's where you live with a bunch of students and you do all the stuff your self..that building had its own security and an underground parking lot....beleive it or not it had a cage where they would store all motor cycles...for $20 a month...only 4 could fit...but they still had it there...

Why the f can these condo people can't make a small cage for motor cycles...give the key to the owners only...

Same thing happened to mine last year. Sorry for your loss. chin up, a bike can be replaced.

I do that to go to the track, not sure what your point is, it work didn't it?

Sorry to hear about your bike. What area do you live in? and are there any store front shops on your street that have cameras?
Let me know or private message me.

THIS, THIS and THIS.

Ffs, chain off a section of the parking for those who have motorcycles = just another layer of security that would have thieves move onto easier pastures...

To the OP, you pretty much need to install some type of anchor bolt to the wall/ground, get thee an Almax Chain (not cheap, but as close to unbreakable as they come), along with the world's most secure padlock (from Australia) - Abloy. Then, put an alarm on the bike, for good measure, and you'll be able to sleep better at night given thieves would be hard pressed to load up this type of security-laden bike in a comfortable timeframe for them i.e. see above about moving to greener pastures.

Oh no? What exactly would they have done?

Yeah if they knew what they were doing why would they load it into the back of a tinted van that is not high off the ground when they could have loaded it into a nice truck using ramps and having to sit around strapping it down and then driving around with it out in the open......

Take a look around here. 90% of All the stolen threads are condo based. Some are chained and alarmed.
Please update the stolen bike thread and include a major intersection location.

Are you all retarded? People who know what they're doing when stealing bikes do not load them into slow moving vehicles; instead, they break steering locks, wire in a new ignition (if necessary), and ride them away.....

Regardless weather they know what they are doing, they were successfull in making off with the bike and not get caught so far.

sorry to hear about your loss. I had a bike stolen like that.
call it a write off and start looking for that upgrade or newer model.

good luck with the investigation.
