Back protector?

Do any of you use a back protector under a jacket?

I have a few jackets and the only one with a hard back is the mesh. I saw a guy wearing a back protector under his jacket and I am thinking maybe to do the same.

I thinking about the strycker vest .. again note this is to wear under the jacket not to wear by itself

Get a good one if you are going to wear it under your jacket not ICON try forcefield form Bluestreak.

Any idea how much this may be? and is it a good idea to wear it under a jacket or a waste?

The one I have was 300. Never leave home without it. I also feel better about unzipping my jacket with it on.

Not sure they are on Bluestreaks web site. I only wear a BP on the track on the street I have the standard foam one in my jacket.

I don't do track.. and yes my 3 jackets have the foam... but it just seems so soft..

All depends on how much u wanna spend, I use my icon vest under my jacket. For the street I think it's fine. I wouldn't use it on the track though

Can't hurt..if you're the gear type. They're not uncomfortable unless it's extremely hot out. So if you're gearing up anyway, it's not a bad thing to have.

Thanks, I saw the stryker for 108 at world superstore, the forcefield that scuba_Steve mentioned only has the back is not really a vest. I've been searching but cant find anything better or similar.. I don't want arms or like a shirt, I am looking for something relatively simple to put on n remove since I plan to use it daily.

I wouldn't get too caught up in how it looks.....The TPro honeycomb/waffle style material cantake hit after hit and kep retaining it's orginial shape and impact dispersion.
Any BP is better than none at all.....but why not buy a great one if you are gonna buy one at all?
I have to agree with Steve that the TPro Forcefield stuff is pretty awesome.
To fit under a jacket with both front and rear protection, Look for T Pro Forcefield Harness Flite, or Harness Adventure if you want the shoulder and arm armour incorporated into the harness. Bluestreak can get either one for you, regardless if it's listed on the website or not.

This is the Adventure....the Flite doesn't have shoulder or arm protection, but is otherwise the same.

They are $170 at Kahuna Powersports just like the red Icon one, why in hell is it necessary to wear these under a jacket? They look great all by themselves, unless you wear a jacket anyways then who cares.

170 for which?

I pulled the foam out of all my jackets and wear a Dainese BP under them instead. The foam just can't compare to a good quality back protector, so why bother? Look into the options for yourself online...and find something that's good and offers real protection. I laugh when I see guys with those teeny BP's that look like they belong on an 11yr-old girl - What's the point?
