All the above gloves were designed and came out of the same factory as Velocity. The initial Velocity design is below which we modified to make it better:-

I don't know what other proof to give everyone as to the authenticity of the Velocity VR-Pro gloves.

Todd, I respect and admire you for what you have done for custom suits in the U.S. but please don't embarrass yourself by name calling. You're way above that.

Our conversation last year went like this:-

1. You claimed I bought your glove and shipped it a factory in China which copied it.
2. I asked you politely to talk to your (our) factory first before you start the mud slinging.
3. You threatened me with your patent lawyers and court and I said let me know when and where as I have proof of concept of this glove with modifications and all email correspondence with my factory.
4. I told you that if I suspect my factory is lying I will switch to a different model but seeing all the above companies with similar gloves I doubt that you have designed it. Actually I am pretty sure unless you can prove otherwise.

So if you have that patent you claim you do you can sue Velocity, Ballistik, Komodo, Arc-On and Dannisport for stealing your design and make tons of money. Actually you admitted that the gauntlets are completely different so I don't know if that would work.

I have been only selling and focussing on my local market here the past 2 and a half years. Yes Velocity first started in December 2009. But I now have the biggest urge to advertise on all the U.S. based forums that Vertical Scope controls.

I think $300 is too much for this glove and so my regular price is $240. For $280 I do this glove in 100% Kangaroo skin. I will not rip off my customers. Customer Service is the most important aspect of my business so I guess when U.S. customers see my glove at a much lower price than yours you must be losing sales hence the hostility. We both know what the cost of this glove is and if once in a while I want to pass on the savings to my customers I see no harm in that. I am about to do that on Kevlar jeans now so I really hope Draggin or Bullet don't start up a thread here.

My new Toll Free number is 1-855-670-9298. Anyone and everyone is free to call me if they need any clarification. Yes the VR-Pro glove is one of the best gloves in the market and will continue to be until I launch the next gen. I wish you all the best Todd. If you want to invest in my company I'm sure we can work out a figure for a 25% share. But this I promise you; Velocity will continue to provide the best "value for money" products in the Sport Bike Market. High end products at reasonable prices and we will continue to grow and expand with the support of our clients. So please don't ever challenge my Business Ethics as tons of customers will tell you how I take care of them POST PURCHASE. My strong business ethics is why I did not want to be part of this discussion but my clients convinced me otherwise to defend myself here and present my side of the story. I also really didn't want to put the factory guys on the spot light but you can talk and deal with them and ask them about all the other companies that have similar gloves.

Please let me know if there are any more questions.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand the plot thickens...

Heroic, you gawt some essplainin to do!

Actually, no, not really. Given the fact that there are more than just one similar pair of gloves out on the market, pretty much solidifies that anything past this is just wasting one's breath on the matter i.e. whomever came up with the idea first, sucks to be you if you didn't patent/protect the design.

Kevlar jeans group buy?!

I'm IN!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think Jimmy lost money on that group buy?
Love my Velocity gloves!

I am also with the camp that I highly doubt that Heroic "designed" the entire glove. I'm sure the factory already had the design, they did some tweaks, boom, Heroic glove. Same thing Jimmy did, boom, Velocity glove.

AND: *pow* Dannisport UK glove, *pow pow* Dannisport glove, *plonk* Ballistik (USA) glove, *pew pew* Arc-On (U.K.) glove, *ker-chunk* Komodo (USA) glove.

Nothing really to see here folks, move along.

looks like if heroic has a leg to stand on, they should have hopped on it last year, when they said they would.

ip rights when you're working with a chinese factory that makes to spec? lol, good luck. this has been a reality of manufacturing for decades.

And probably a bunch more that we don't even know of.

PS my Velocity VR-Pro gloves are the best ones I've ever owned and I've got another set on order.

Awaiting on my new set to try at 'bogie .. dont care where they came from.
Are you gonna break em in before your track day?? What's your track bike?

-Jamie M.

Is that a serious question ?
Yes, and yes. The first question because I just flashed a track bike and the guy said he almost dumped it twice cause "his gloves were new" last time he was out (also Velocity), so I figured, the track ain't the best place to break in your new set of gloves. The second question has slightly to do with the first ;)

Agreed, and I don't think it would surprise anyone in the least given how this whole thread has evolved.

Well these will be replacing my current gloves and never had an issue breaking new gloves at the track .. friggin new guys.
And its the same track bike ive had for a few years now .. <shrugs> .. carry on.

I searched all your posts, it's either an R1 or CBR 600?? :)

can anyone answer this? so...

neither velocity nor heroic make these gloves, they are made by a factory in china, velocity and heroic simply buy from this factory and put their names on it?

this factory is like some kind of silent partner/business? and what makes this factory an expert in motorcycle race gloves? they seem to make decent stuff.

forget about velocity or heroic, i wanna know more about this factory! lol

Paul should contact this factory and make some GTAM gloves haha

there are entire cities devoted to factories that produce specific products. like shenzhen is the electronics centre, and another city is known for dollar store toys, etc.

all of the major companies that contract out send their designs to these factories, and they build them to a price.

this has been the reality for decades.

this happens in just about every consumer industry.

They are in Pakistan, not China and I thought everyone has been spammed by Pakistan Motorcycle suit manufacturers. I assume there are a few there, because if you check e-bay there are adds on there for custom suits from Pakistan as well.
