Back on the road after accident in last year

I was finally back on the road riding again since my accident last July. Its been almost a year now. I was kinda nervious and feel weird when riding. I guess I need more time to get use to it again
 
maybe boost up your confidence a bit by doing some parking-lot practice on the weekend.
 
Welcome back in the saddle! It's probably safest to think of yourself as a noob, and plan your riding accordingly until your confidence returns.
I was off bikes for a long time and when I returned I was excited, scared and wobbly the first few times out.
 
After I became a hood ornament on a pizza delivery car it took me maybe a year to stop flinching every time that I came to an intersection, with traffic waiting to turn. You'll likely get over it.
 
It took me two years to ride with 100% confidence after my bowling ball experience (where I impersonated the ball after I was smacked). It WILL come back to you xflying.

NO worries dude! I was a bit shook when I got back on, but thats expected. Just get out as much as possible and try and have fun again. I'm glad to hear you came back to the sport!
 
Same with me. I was in an accident last year, been back riding for about a month now. Definitely don't feel the same but it's still fun. Trying to stay out of the city/commuter traffic for now.
 
i got knocked off my last bike while riding with my gf- she was behind me on her gsxr 600 ... my gsxr 1000 was totaled.

after the police report i hopped on her bike, rode her home, then kept it at my place and rode for hers for a month while i found a replacement bike.

if you have confidence in your abilities, it will take alot to shake them up... but you will be more cautious lol.
 
my wife layed her bike down toward the end of a season a few years ago. She was lucky and only hurt her priide, but she admits it did a number on her confidence for the next season. She is all good now :D
