So I'm leaving for Vegas in a few days. Its my first time and I was wondering if anyone has been and if you could recommend what to see and what to do?

I have already have plans to go to the gun store, visit the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam and Rehab pool party at Hard Rock Hotel.

Any other suggestions? Also, any idea's on bike rentals down there?

Thanks all! :)

All the Hotels have free valet parking in case you are renting a car.

Which hotel are you staying at?
Venetian has something called a TAO BEACH where all the young people hang out with barely any clothing.

There is a shopping mall close to the Venetian too which is very nice. A little further up from there is an outlet mall.

Make sure to spend time watching the free stuff... Water fountains outside of Bellagio. The Ship fight outside of Treasure Island.

Try to catch one of the paid shows. I've seen Phantom of the Opera there and it was AMAZING. Being a guy, I went in thinking crap, I'm gonna hate this ******, but it was actually very nice!

Also, if you plan on gambling make sure you get the "Player's Card" for that casino. Might as well bank some points while you gamble.

When more pointers come to mind, I will post again...

See I knew more things were gonna come to mind....

Have you heard of the $20 trick??

Depending on your situation, it might be a good idea. I've heard of the $20 doing wonders for some people....

And if you plan on going Clubbing and stuff, PM me and I will give you the contact info for a promoter who can hook you up with Line bypasses and half price entrance etc. Even bottle service if ur going all out.

I'm staying at my cousin's house which is a 10 minute walk from the strip.

Barely any clothing eh? I'm in! lol

The ship fight... how often does that happen?

I saw the Phantom here so i would wanna see something else.

I'm not a big gambler... my plan is to just walk into one casino and put $500 on red... if that works out I'll definitely get a card. lol

i was expecting that comment from dr_sarcasm! lmao

Don't **** with Mike Tyson's tiger..

damn... i wanted to take the kitty for a walk.

If you're staying on the strip - head down to downtown Vegas for an afternoon/evening for a change of pace.

Bring comfortable shoes - the hotels/strip are massive.

Even if ur putting $500 on the red, get a player's card. Keep collecting the points. They add up.

"O" is an awesome show. I haven't seen it myself, but I hear it's just breathtaking.
There of course there are all the nudie shows that Vegas is famous for. I dunno if that floats your boat or not....

Vegas is a baller city. You need lots of $$ to have fun there unfortunately.

The Treasure Island show happens every hour or so at night. If you pick up a VEGAS book from one of the cabs or soemthing, that will have full details.
If you are definitely planning on seeing a show, try buying the tickets before you get there. You might be able to get a decent discount. The "Tickets 4 Less" booths do have good prices, but there seats are usually not very good.

I'm gonna be 4 blocks west of the strip... anything in particular you can recommend?

everyone says that three days in Vegas is enough and Im going for 6 so I'm trying to fill the time wisely!

Hmmmmmm...

1. Grand Canyon is 4 hours away by vehicle; depending on time, you may want to reconsider (or take a helicoptor out there if you wanna hang with us ballers);

2. Rehab and Wet Republik (at the MGM) were the "in" places last year (no clue this year). Rent a cabana (for a few G's) and take your place as a true baller (WARNING: you will be AMAZED at how much money you can spend at either of those pool-side mega parties; they are meat-markets extraordinaire);

3. Nightclubs - TAO, Jet, Body English, Pure, Rain and XS were happening places when I was there; you may need to see what the "in" places are this year;

4. If you're the type, take in a show (e.g. Cirque de Soleil, etc.);

5. Hide your credit cards - shopping wise, there's the shopping mall at Caesar's Palace and across the street from Bellagio at Planet Hollywood there's a huge shopping mall attached to it (both are $$$$);

6. There are outlet malls at the end of the strip (huge one) if again, you like shopping;

7. Rent an exotic car and pretend to be a baller (note: those bastards have speed limiters on them, and you'll have to rent a bimbo to go with you as you're not allowed to drive 'em without said bimbo);

8. Gun store. 'Nuff said;

9. Golfer? TONS of courses to choose from (with a private one at the Wynn for $500USD a round to others, to Badlands at $200USD a round and Royal Links at $250USD a round);

10. Gambling? Nah, not in Vegas...;

11. Stratosphere Hotel, if you're not afraid of heights...there's a few interesting "rides" that should help you sleep at night...;

Other than that, the main strip is HUGE - it literally took us 15min to walk from the Bellagio to PH (which is across the street). The new complex beside Bellagio (where the Aria Hotel and Casino is) dwarfs the city of Toronto, and I believe there may be shopping in there (several hotels as well). So you can spend quite some time walking around.

Oh, I also recommend the Bunny Ranch/Chicken Ranch/Sheri's Ranch - the girls are friendly (don't you all judge me, she may be that type of girl...mmmmmmmm...wait, what?).

Lol, do it...but do it after a few drinks to loosen you up (she's hot, and her supporting cast is just as hot, make sure you don't go with any prudes).

lol... comfortable shoes don't look as good as the uncomfortable ones! I'll buy a pair though cause a few people have told me that already. :p
so far my suitcase contain 7 bikini's and 9 pairs of shoes! I think i need to start packing other stuff! lol
