Just wondering, for the people that also have one of these (Icon Urban Tank Bag), what do you do when it rains?

I looked online and could not find a separate rain cover for this bag.

Thanks!

Use a kitchen garbage bag as a liner. you night want to throw some sandwich or medium freezer bags in there too. Great place to stick your wallet/phone/mp3 player/camera if you think you might get caught in the rain.

I use ziplock bags inside of my tank bag...just in case.

I actually have something for my cellphone and small items... similar to this:

But I bought the bag mostly for my work laptop... Maybe a big garbage bag? lol

I let my Blackberry Bold absorb all the water. Works really well.

Never knew there are good name brand bags out there that do not come with a rain cover with its own drawstrings.

The one I use goes over a 40 l backpack.

Awesome!! I'll check them out.

Damm it... only if I still had my BB. All my problems would be solved! ;-p

I think they went with a more affordable design with this one. It sells for about $90... The material is not that great, but it's of good size. Rode for the past couple of days with my laptop, big sweater, power adapter and no issues.

I guess you dont want to see your gauges eh?

I bought this bag. I returned it a week later because I found it so annoying to have it right up in my face. And that was on a more upright bike like the 650R. I would think it would be practically blocking your vision on a supersport.

Yup, exact same model. Bought mine a Royal in Guelph. here is a pic

What bike is this?

Yup 2006 Honda 599

oh, and I dont mind the size, it is a little on the big side but I dont pack it full enough to be annoying.

Now you got me wondering. Just came from GP and they had one, however no rain cover. I also checked online again, and everyone else complains that the model does not have a cover (link).

Where is the cover stored on your? Does it stay attached?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the raincover is zipped away in a little pouch somewhere on the bag... I neglected to use it when the sky just opened up and puked a metric f***ton of water down during a nice sunny day last season. It was on that day my BB Bold saved the day and kept the rest of the bag dry(-ish)....

Has anyone else tried to use it as a backpack? The soft rubbery pad makes doesn't let my back breathe so I end up looking like: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_z1xH5ibLFhs/TND8h0LwDzI/AAAAAAAAABE/rSTZunPLgIs/s1600/sweaty+back.JPG

How about if you fold it down like this?

Huh, never realized the 599 looked so good.

I only ever used it completely empty and still didn't like it.
