i thought Trump Towers had high paying in-house security guards

not this min. wage fail-fest

i'd email the property mngment, board of directors & trump himself

Trump has nothing to do with that building...he just licenses his name to some builders.

clearly not high paying security guards :P ... clearly minimum wage fest :P

Nice, that guy will be sore whenever he wakes up. I would report such behaviour, it is your condo fee that pays his wage.

He's not sleeping, he's pretending. That way the thieves will come in and he can leap into action to save all our bikes.

yea, but think of the publicity of trump himself chewing that guy out. just because it's only his name on the building doesn't mean it doesn't go against his branding...

LOL. Did you at least find a creative way to wake him up? :director:

Looks to me like it's a construction site security, not regular building security guards. Regardless, it's funny. :D

What can you expect from someone who gets paid minimum wage? Security guards need to be compensated much better if we are to expect better protection. It's a shame how little they get paid.

The simplest technology would be a license plate reader system for the door opener that had tenant plates registered to it, with a camera on the inside of the garage that alerted security to any unregistered plates.

Sure, the van people would just not use plates, but the indoor camera would alert security. Privacywise, it's the same as a pass card that clocks you in and out. Unless you can hold the building management accountable for providing a reasonable level of security, they won't pay for this kind of system.

The camera technology changes in the last 5 years have refined "reasonable" and you could probably push it.

I would steal the plates off a car from that building and then mount it on to my van. You can't stop me!

condo security is useless if the owners themselves dont step up.. some people have good security but some just make my head shake.
in my building, theres a guy with a beautiful ducati sitting in a spot. no cover, no lock, nothing.

In most cases, they are paid what the position is worth... Next to nothing. Most security guards are completely useless when it comes down to it!

There's a Ducati in my underground that is in the most visible place with no cover or lock too. Not to mention it's just dirty as all hell from the underground dust.

Just because someone has a job doesn't mean they actually do it as it is intended. I mean yeah he gets paid, but he (they) will never care about your property. They will just do the bare minimum to keep their job, not place themselves at risk in any way. Just get theft insurance. Some skinny old *** man is not going to stop anybody from stealing anything.
