Watching the news about the stricken cruise ship & the presenter said " she's lying on her side with a gash the size of a tennis court" I just happened to glance at the wife and now it's all kicked off !

No one is discounting the lives lost as a result of this tragedy that's just how you chose to perceive it. I am sure the OP didn't intend to lessen the event. It is not so uncommon to find small bits of humour in such things either. I see you are new to the forum so I would 'welcome you aboard' but you might find that distasteful too. This forum is full of less tasteful subject matter but that's what gives it the charm that it has. If you are going to stick around you might want to lighten up.
