My only question is, where was Thongman? He claims to be at every PD13.

sidewind sells something like that for snowmobiles, canadian tire used to have them. had them on the maxim, looked goofy but my hands were always toasty.I saw about ten other bikes. A couple Harley full dressed tourers.....One nice and clean slammed and stretched GSXR.....dude was in jeans and light jacket so I assume it was trailered to town. Also noted an early 80's V65 Sabre with fairing, and full on dirtbike knobbies, front and rear......same tire package on a Harley Dyna as well between Dover and Brantford....that dude was in a beanie helmet and bandana over his face...true hardcore.
There were three Urals with 2WD on bike and sidecar as well...but really, that's just cheating!
LMAO
I had to pull over to warm hands on exhaust a few times....I had snowmobile mitts in the trailer but they don't offer very good feel or control.....and I figured feel and control were paramount when practising extreme traction management. I will be sending an email to a Canadian vendor out of St Catherines called Hippo Hands. I spoke with another rider in Dover yesterday who had them, and was wearing his regular gloves and said he had warm hands the whole ride.

princess auto has them for $10, though you may have to make a hole for your mirror mount and I found at 401 speeds the wind drag was enough to set off my brake light so I fastened a support out of a coat hanger to keep the cover from pressing against the brake lever.

In the winter I use heated grips that wrap over the stock grips. They're really warm and they're uber easy to take on and off depending on the weather. In the summer I just disconnect them from a harness on the fork tucked in the fairing and you'd never even know that it was there. I swear by them!

So much for the saying once you go track, you never go back to the streets.
I have never done trackdays, so I don't consider myself a trackdayer.
I would however , stop racing, before I would ever stop street riding.
Racing is the single coolest thing I have ever done, but it doesn't define me, like just plain old riding does.
Had Hippo hands on a dual sport back in the 80's.Worked really great.Be careful with the install and make sure there is no chance the wind at speed can push them back into your levers.A little bit of brake drag over time could do a bunch of damage.I will be sending an email to a Canadian vendor out of St Catherines called Hippo Hands.
