Fun stuff, I used to race those back in the days when they had the race league. What do you know, I'm the one at 0:18 with the white bike.

hahah that`s awesome! Looks like a blast! Know any info on it or if they or anyone still does it?

I'm interested also! my pocket bike has been sitting there for a few years. If this is still happening i'll have a reason to take it out of 'hibernation' :D

Bad News =(
I emailed 401 Indy and they said they don't do it anymore.
Maybe if we get enough interest here on the forum and send them, or any other go-kart track(docks?=D) this info, they may see the value in it!
Too expensive for me to track full size bikes, I don't mind scaling it down a bit and have some fun =D

If you think full size track bikes are expensive!! You should see the prices some guys were spending on those pocket bikes to race them!! You can get a full size 600 track prepped for 2-5g. An italian made racing pocket bike that is competitive can easily cost just as much money.
Back when there was the mini-moto race league, it wasn't a bunch of guys on cheap chinese bikes.. most were running some pretty trick stuff.

I think Formula Kartways still does it...but the track is very slippery....401 mini indy has much more traction but a couple of people spoiled it by leaving behind a mess and spilling gas everywhere inside.

There were different classes, the chinese brand classes were pretty big still because of the minimal cost involved...but if you wanted to be competitive, you'd have to put big $$ into it.

I put about $1000-1200 into my bike. Had a chinese roller but had an italian clutch, an italian 50cc top end, and a race pipe. Pushing 16hp, if you hit the powerband and you werent leaning forward, you would loop it. Faster than the CBR125.... If you were to buy a complete Italian bike you'd be starting at $2500 and going up.

you guys are making me drool...i like the sounds of such things as "chinese class" and "$$ in to pocket bikes" and "italian clutches"

where and when the hell can we do this

Unfortunately they're no more....

But you guys can always hold a test and tune or a race day if you have enough people. If there is enough interest I know one of the pocketbike shop owners and can try to get you guys a groupbuy discount....but I wont be organizing a groupbuy unless I decide to get one myself as well. The Chinese bikes start at $250 regular price

We should just grab a parking lot and race on scooters, it seems much funner. Or an indoor lot or something and setup pylons.

Example..
