If Markham wasn't on the other side of the planet, I'd come to help you. But you know what - I'm sure you'd be fine figuring it out on your own. If you have a basic owner's manual, internet, and half a brain you should be able to work it out. I was a total n00b to anything remotely mechanical, and I've winterized both our motocycle the past few winters (oil change, stabil, battery removal). It can be intimidating at first, but after you've tinkered with your bike a few times it becomes pretty straight forward.

Whether someone comes to help you or not, you should consider taking a basic maintenance course over the winter. I know Humber College does one, as does T.O. Cycle in Etobicoke.

Perhaps OP could post her requirements for assistance, like gender, age, weight, race, religion etc.
This way she won't be bothered with the wrong sort of help.

Ok regarding the OP being selective about the age and such of her prospective helpers. I think she had a good idea! So in that light, i am a 44 year old male. looking for a hot female rider who is good with their hands to come work on my err.. umm.. bike... I'm not as picky as her though, i'll accept anyone up to my own age. :lmao:

Also. have you tried Youtube? i'm new too and i have learned how to do lots of basic maintenance things from searching youtube, including all the things you mentioned wanting to do. There are tons of good instructional vids on there. I'm changing my own tires in a couple of weeks based on vids i watched there, looks easy. I just bring my laptop out to my garage when i'm working on my bike and can watch the vids as i work.

tell her when you are helping her to at least have the common decency and education to say thank you to people that pm her given her advice and offered to help.

what is wrong with people these days, they are so self involved that they can be bothered been educated to others, says a lot about peoples character

I think OP has a specific fantasy she's trying to fulfill.

Might have better luck on Craigslist.
