Ah, I'm pretty sure it always looked like that. I.e., the wheels and brake calipers are badly hand painted with globs of paint. The 'detail' work on the frame, front fender and tire hugger are terribly executed. The fairings don't fit because the pleather bulked them up so much, they no longer matched up with the fairing stays. Huge gaps around the headlights because the head cowl no longer fit.
The pics I posted actually make the bike look about 10x better than it actually is.
Btw, the PO is a liar as well. He advertised it as a '99 and insisted it was. It's a '98, not a '99. He also tried to say it was FI.
