Hmmm,I'mcurious to know how much can somebody usually haggle off a 16 or 17 thousand bike ?

A little off topic,but their is a rumour floating around that kawi may be bringing back the 636 for 2013.

Of course it's still a ways off but has anyone else heard this ?

For the most part you won't even need to haggle. I don't think many dealers sell bikes at MSRP, you could walk in off the street and prices would be better than MSRP.

Just based on past experience (don't quote me on this) if MSRP on a 14R is $16,999 i think you'd find most Kawi dealers putting it up for around $15G. If you're able to go buy a bike from the US that means you either have cash outright or you have the cash from a line of credit. Either way, you have cash. Cash money. Money talks. Who knows what you might get if you walked into any local dealer and were able and ready to pay for a shiny new bike with a stack of hundred dollar bills.

Man if anew 636 came out I think I would buy it. Imagine the HP it would have. The 2009+ 600 already makes almost as much HP as the older 636s.

Realistically what i think they should do is what Suzuki does and make a new ZX7R that shares a common chassis with the ZX6R. Why make it a little bigger when you can make it a lot bigger. The GSXR750 is a great compromise between the 600 and 1000 and is really the only bike in that market. They're able to do so without spending too much on development because it shares so much with the GSXR600.

Imagine a new ZX7R thats around 400lbs wet and makes 145hp. MMmmmmmm!!!

I may buy a new zx14r from them. $13,500 out the door (pay the Canadian Taxes and RIV of course) vrs $16,999 +++ in Canada. Initial discussion with one Ontario dealer leads me to believe that they are not willing to move much off MSRP.

Thanks for the link. Yeah, it's looks like you can save a few duckets going that route. I might look into that they have the 2011 Honda CB 1000r for $9,999. In Canada the price is $13,500++

IMO I like this bike in black even tho the white euro ver is sweet too. I don't like ss bikes in all black becus with all the fairings to me they all look very, very silmilar. I think this CB 1000 looks very slick but I dont want to hype up this bike too much. Right now its not selling so that means I'll get a better price come time of purchase:thumbup:

Yea bike mags, keep promoting just the Duck, Triumph and Kawi Z1000 and let me be the only Torontonian to be on a CBtho
