Kawasaki 2012 Canadian pricing released

I'm starting to wonder if now every manufacturer is starting to compete in who can make the factory exhaust look as awful as possible category.

The proportions of that bike are a little... off... but it's pretty cool nonetheless. Z1000 is better looking imo.

$11,199 in the US MSRP for non ABS and $11,899 for the ABS version.

I think I would cross the border.

100% agree. WTF is up with all the ugly cans now a days? My last bike was a 98 gixxer750 in stock form the exhaust was respectable.
Personally I'm looking into a 2011 Honda CB 1000ra next spring $13,000

Love the green/blk Kaw1000 tho

$11,899US, lets day the bank gives you an exchange rate of $1.05 so that's $12,493CAD. Add the $204 import fee and you're up to $12,697 plus the time, gas, food involved to go get it, plus the running around to get the federal inspection, then going to to the MTO to get it plated.

I dunno, not worth it to me to save under a grand.

That 2011 Honda CB 1000RA is VERY nice :)

Yay.....Uptill now Kawi was saying that the ABS model was Euro only and that it wasn't gonna make it to North America at all. Glad to hear it is. The Ninja1K ABS and hard luggage could make me consider getting rid of a couple of my current bikes altogether. But I don't want a bike payment.

that would depend if you already bought usd when the cdn dollar was higher.
Some folks would give up a day to save $1000, since they don't make that in a day.

check out http://troycitygarage.com/street_bikes.htm they have some decent pricing on the 2012's.

I may buy a new zx14r from them. $13,500 out the door (pay the Canadian Taxes and RIV of course) vrs $16,999 +++ in Canada. Initial discussion with one Ontario dealer leads me to believe that they are not willing to move much off MSRP.

+1.

Not to mention that you may have warranty refusal issues in Canada, and I dont know anybody who paid full msrp for a Jap bike. Im sure most dealers would sell for less.

.

I am looking at a Ninja 1000 abs for next year gotta sell the Duc first. Seems like a great street bike especially with the bags, I think I am done with SS bikes for the street, but that is what I said just before I bought the 1198.

Uhhh so is Canada not getting the red 650?

Loved the Ninja 1000 from the second I saw it at the bike show, I think there are a lot of people looking for a bike just like it. ABS is a nice addition, too bad the dropped the candyish red from last year

$16,999 is MSRP. When i worked at Inglis we never sold a single bike at MSRP.

Have you actually called around to see what price you can get on a 14R in Canada?

Hmmm,I'mcurious to know how much can somebody usually haggle off a 16 or 17 thousand bike ?

A little off topic, but their is a rumour floating around that kawi may be bringing back the 636 for 2013.

Of course it's still a ways off but has anyone else heard this ?
