Holy crap!.. I didn't watch this but saw this video and my god.. that is some edge of your seat racing!!

2 questions.

1. Isn't hovering your knee just above the ground faster in corners? They weren't dragging their knees at all.
2. How come it looks like one of the guys is about the crash in almost every turn? Wobble Wobble.


I've never tracked so i have no idea if these situations are normal or not.

Knee dragging is a gauge only, if the corner does not require you to lean that far over, there is no reason to and you can complete the corner more quickly if the bike is more upright.

Those bikes are 210+hp and 360lbs.

it's called racing, you do WHATEVER you can to ride at that pace.

Ireland's where it's at for Superbikers. Too bad the British don't give them the respect and call them "Irish", they call them "Brits."

Watch for John Hopkins next year...he's signed to a Suzuki satellite team. The guy gets a ride on a MotoGP Rizla Suzuki and takes it near the front in one race making Suzuki's Team Rider (Batista) look foolish. Then he takes a satellite Suzuki in WSBK and puts it on pole first race this year. I'm going to be watching for him next year. MotoGP Rizla Suzuki should have grabbed him and signed him when they could.

Anyone have this BSB series on DVD?

Series finished a week ago.....torrents are out there for every race.

Northern Ireland is part of Great Britain, hence brits.

BTW John McGuinness is a limey.

Hopkins is a not a new household name, he's been around for years. Pole was at Silverstone with his regular BSB team doing a busman's holiday, so he had a little advantage over the other WSBK teams despite being down on HP.

Thanks for clarification EnglishJ. Can you point to any specific virus free torrents?

I'm from Belfast, Northern Ireland. My passport says "GB" (great Britain). When I inquired as to why my passport is not allowed to have the word "Ireland" written on it, I was told it was a part of the Good Friday Peace Accord. Nothing against the Brits, but damn, let it go already!

Bah i am mixed blood so i'm middle of the road mate. Google Unionists in Ireland for the bigger picture.

Torrents are out there usually the next day, Racingfor.me is the best site out there but you need a invite for this.
 
Oh, I know the history all-to-well. I lived right on the peace line. Tear gas, bombs, Molotov cocktails, and rubber bullets were a way of life. I never thought they'd go as far as depriving us the word "Ireland" tho. I asked them [the passport office] why? It had to go to the higher ups for a proper answer. According to the Good Friday Peace Accord the word "Ireland" is not allowed to appear on Northern Irish passports. It's all ridiculous. Imagine your Canadian passport stating "Toronto, NA" (North America)?

I noticed this season, towards the end of the season in WSBK, the tea-bag commentator begrudgingly referred to Jonny Rae as an "Irish-man" instead of his usual "Brit." You could tell he was told to stop referring to the top Irish riders as Brits.

How come there are barely any battles like this in motogp this season? It's like every race stoner's winning by 10 Secs lol
