Maybe I've just been noticing it more but it seems as though there are more of these bikes around than previously. And a lot of them have been been turned into very tasty customs!
Post your pictures, Sporty and V-Rod owners, you have some very cool bikes.

So far just ehaust(Rinehart), tires and side plate as mods .This summer hopefully a fender and turn signal .

Nothing really new on the new models except the tail section and inverted forks . The pegs, handle bars and seat are right out of HD catalog . It will fit shorter better for sure .

I dont care for Sportsters but that VRod/Night Rod is one beautiful bike. Way out of my price range unfortunately.

16 grand plus taxes ain't that bad really for a night rod.

Just needs rearsets, slightly taller seat and clipons and I'd consider buying one.

Oh, and change the rake angle to tighten up the steering.

I would love the Vrod engine in a sportier frame .The engine is the best part of the bike .

Just bought a v rod and love it.They do handle well at speed but crappy at low speed maneuvers. The tank is under the seat which helps a lot.Lean angle also sucks at 32 degrees and the exhaust weighs 28lb making it pull to the right with your hands off the bars. They can be made to go like stink and aren't to shabby ,107 at the rear wheel and 83 foot pounds stock.Slower than a 600ss but more comfortable with awesome potential. A simple remap will give you 120 at the rear wheel.
It's a love it or hate it bike.I have finally found something to replace my 83 midnight maxim and am done testing other bikes. The only other bike that came close was a v max,the successor to the maxim which is much faster than the v rod but lacking in every other aspect IMO.The street rod is the funnest model with a 42 degree lean angel but hard to find.No pictures yet
