Yamaha Demo Tour @ Brampton PowerSports Aug 13

needing an M to sit on a bike? That's uncalled for. No need to say silly things like that.

Wait, what. Huh, what are you talking about? -removed

My gf and I were in there on the weekend, and we both sat on bikes no problem

Were you looking into getting a Yamaha, did you ask or discuss the demo ride details and put forth you opinion as your looking for a new bike and also your girl friend perhaps. That's 2 customers right there now or in the future few months that Yamaha (if that's the bike your looking to go for) can help out with a demo ride. Im sure many others would be interested in buying Yamahas as well.

Just a reminder that the Yamaha Demo Tour is running this Saturday Aug 13! Sign up at 9am, first come first serve! I would come as early as you can to sign up if the turn out is anything like Suzukis demo tour it will be packed.

And p.s, I think I only saw like two or three bikes in the entire showroom that ask for you to acquire assistance before you sit on them, but needing an M or anything to sit on them is ya, just silly.

still no R1 right?

Still not mature, right?

physically yes, mentally nope. (insert the FU thingy here) but It was a serious question. I know the OP has been in contact with Yamaha Canada, so in case anything has changed I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to ride the R1. (insert the FU thingy again)

Very well then, carry on good sir. Just tired of the OP bashing, I erroneously misdirected it at you. My mistake.

no worries, I know its Yamaha Canada setting the restictions. Saturday is calling for rain though, for the dealers sake I hope you get a good turn out, for the manufacturers sake I hope they realize how they can improve for next year

Is it really that hard to get a full M? Less complaining and more working on getting your full M people!

Dude, inventing a time machine to make that 18 month mark come sooner, isn't easy! But I'm working on it, don't worry guys!

No R1 as far as I know still, and I hope it doesn't rain. Yamaha got rained out on their last one and thats why they came back for another try.

Keep your eye on the whether forecast for Saturday and pray that rain comes late! Dont want the demo tour to get rained out again :(

Just added a bunch of videos of Brampton PowerSports showroom onto www.BramptonPowerSports.com under the Showroom tab if there are any of you who havent seen our new showroom yet and are interested in getting a little video walk around. So did anyone else on here go? I hate to say but Yamaha's Demo Day was disappointing. I got to ride what I wanted and the wait times between rides were short and perfect. Great registration girls (remembered me from the Suzuki Demo Day)
My beef, as much as your rules and policies are in place, the enforcement was bull. People coming with M2's and riding a FZ6r when it was clearly discussed on here that a M would be needed (heard a conversation with switching people around on bikes to accommodate a person who wanted to ride an R6 because they say they saw them ride before but only had a M2 still, but then they let them ride the FZ6r), a guy rode a cruiser in a t-shirt, another guy rode a cruiser with no gloves. Sure do what you want when you ride your own bike but it took me by surprise that they would let them ride like that...just some things that caught my eye.

Well I am glad to hear you at least got to try what you wanted. Cant speak on behalf of Yamaha and their decisions on gear and to let people ride. Just wanted to let you folks know that later today I will be posting a New Yamaha demo day thread so its nice and clean looking for comments good and bad on how you felt the demo day went. If you have replied in this thread I would appreciate your comments again in the new thread please. Let me know anything your willing to share!
